I think they've proposed to only do it before televised games. Probably so BT and Sky can still get excited by it!

Or been ordered to by their paymasters......

Make them carry on.

In fact I want them on their knees for longer.....also, they should be waving rainbow flags at the same time while wearing fake breasts.

I was on a flight soon after 9/11 before take off when 2 Middle Eastern men went down on their knees in the aisle and started praying to allah. It was in business so fairly quiet and they were only there for a minute or so. Got to be honest and say I found it uncomfortable.
Similarly I’ve been at a game where the person next to me takes the knee with the players. Doing it every game is an outdated publicity stunt that should be stopped. I’ve never agreed with it as it incites racism.

I've never changed my opinion of it virtue signalling by people who claim to be concerned but not enough to do anything about it.

The players have enormous power which they could use for change however it would mean sticking their necks out and I guess the paycheck comes first.

FIFA and UEFA's attitude to racism is shockingly bad and should be called out, paltry fines and threats that are never carried out.

It's not just the players where is the PFA they are the union if this was the RMT they would have the lads out on strike.

I think this is what Wilf is saying taking the knee doesn't get the job done but no one seems to want to take it further.

....?

Do you mean it makes those with racist tendencies more likely to outwardly express their racism, or do you mean that 22 people of different cultural backgrounds going down on a knee for a few seconds once a week is the root cause of people acquiring racist tendencies?

If the former, exposing an issue is the first step to making progress on it. If the latter, I don't see a link.
