One failure of Arsenal last season seemed to be that when teams were physical and took the game to them they struggled, often looking a bit lightweight. Zaha also likes to bully their full-backs for fun and so I wouldn't write this game off. I would say on paper Arsenal look better than last season, but there is nothing more amusing than seeing Jesus and his comedy eyebrows when things don't go his way, so here's hoping for 3 more points from them.

Pre season games don't count for much and you can't really say how Palace are going to go given we had 2 squads, 1 playing around the world the other around London. Will be an interesting game but i would say this a match not to "lump on" one team or the other. Arsenal interestingly did lose there first game i think it was 2-0 away to Brentford last season so let's hope they are a but under done with there preparation.

Confidence and attitude are so important, and getting the breaks.

I am even about the game and some Zaha magic could swing it.

Let’s bully them from the off. Arteta is already worried, instead of focusing on his own team they are already trying to find ways of neutralising Wilf. Nothing to worry about, not quite the 3-0 of last season but a win is easily doable.

Our 3-0 win over them last season really hurt them. They are coming to this fixture hell bent on revenge. Have a little read on social media. They are still livid about that loss. They are coming to beat us more than get 3 points. I hope PV and the boys realise that. They want to hand us a 4-0+ thrashing. Now pride comes before a fall they say… Their impatience to score goals may well be their undoing.

Jesus is a threat, but I think our defence can handle him if they're sharp enough tonight.

We can hurt Arsenal too so I'm not feeling too pessimistic.

We've got a good chance against them even they're favorites. Can see Wilf scoring.

I believe that Jesus will only be a threat on a heavily waterlooged pitch.
I think that we will pressurise them and will win 1-0

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I also think that Arsenal not being a tall team helps our chances of keeping headed goals down, hopefully.

A really tough game to have to start with.
Like others, I expect Arsenal to be way better than last season and without CG we will have to be very smart.
He bullied them last season and someone needs to do that tonight to stop them getting into their stride.
Jesus will score and I hope for a win but will settle for a score draw.
