IMO - Hodgson’s tactics ruined//destroyed him and he simply never recovered. There’s no doubt theres a player in there somewhere - really hope it works out for him - all the best Tekkers and thanks for what/all you have done for us..!! COYP

Now Benteke has gone, I'd love Palace to sign Jizz Hornkamp purely because of the name. Apparently Notts Forest are looking at him..

A player who epitomised the example of the lazy modern day pro on far too much money. Congratulations to the club for finally offloading him. Hopefully a hard lesson learned.

MLS is pedestrian in pace. It will suit Benteke.He very frequently never bothered to 'turn up'. He stayed just because of the inflated wages and is leaving for the same reason. He realises Palace have had enough and there will be no new offer. Ive never seen him put in a sprint, compare him to Matetas work rate....there is no comparison. Even if youre having a barren patch put a shift in. Obviously in training too he must be the same or as with others he would of been given more of a start.look how he put it in when going for a new deal! He did, git the deal and went back sleep. Parasitic player, apparently nice guy but this is Palace and he ain't.

Spot on, the laziest footballer I’ve seen in a palace shirt since Razor Ruddock, play to his strengths some said, what strengths?? Even when the ball was put in the penalty area for him he didn’t exactly break sweat to get on the end of it. When you think about what Mark Bright used to give us at centre forward, not the most naturally gifted of footballers, but he’d put himself about, scrap, fight and rattle defenders, even when things weren’t going well for him in front of goal he’d be battling away trying to make something happen.

He lost alot of confidence after the first season , but done alot of work in defence sadly we brought him to score , but I still wish him best of luck at DC

The impact on our wage bill will be significant as was the departure of Sakho. Two financial elephants off our back and now we may be able to afford the wage of a much needed attacking midfielder.
