It’s a NO from me, suppose to be a box to box player but cannot do the roll sucefully.Doesn’t track back and played few games last season because of this.

This makes the pursuit of Soumare (if true) particularly interesting as implicitly, it suggests that Vieira feels there's considerably more to tap from Doucoure than we're able to with him in his present role. That also raises the question of whether, if we don't get Soumare, Luka actually replaces Schlupp in the first choice eleven, freeing up Doucoure to move further up the pitch as it does suggest we may be prioritising a sitting midfielder for that reason. Interesting times.

We've seen in preseason and a couple of times so far that Doucoure can pick a pass. So we know he has ability. Maybe not as a tempo setter though. Having some more bite in midfield isnt going to be a bad thing, especially as it might free up Eze a little more
