It’s an opinion, of course, based on observation and common sense.

We will know soon enough whether I am right, as I am sure that there will be opinion polls in the coming winter.

Opinion polls mean diddly squat. Well that’s what we are told when the Tories are in the lead.

That's why we voted to live in a democracy rather than the non-democratic EU.

Democracy- where the CONservatives voted to not be removed from office if caught breaking the law just a couple of weeks ago! Where bungle, the pied piper, wanted to change the rules when his friend had been caught breaking the parliamentry rules on taking bungs for questions!Welcome to CONservative democracy, 2022 in little britain!

The number arriving from Africa since Brexit will probably become a key talking point in months to come. My own observations suggest it’s staggeringly large and are needed to replace all those from Europe who have left us.

Denying poor countries their clinicians doesn’t make sense to me.

I agree with your last paragraph but:

1) no one is forcing them to come

2) Were the poorer EU countries not denied their clinicians?

3) Observation from the airport do not back up your observations.

4) Many EU nationals travelled home due to the pandemic not Brexit. It was open to them to have registered to return

As is campaigning to stay out as well.

Absolutely. But as of today, then neither the Tories nor Labour are proposing any manifesto pledges on rejoining. It is simply not an option at the moment.

Out is the default position.

So the goalposts have moved to 5 years now from the member for Medway to see the result, It was a year before- oh well, no doubt in 5 years it will move again to 10 years, or the 50 years Jacob and nanny said- they didn"t tell you that when you voted people did they? Shame on you member for Medway- you REMOANER!

Must be the reason Labour were so vehement in their support for joining in the first place and showed such unwavering support for the first 40 years.

Knowledge? Where’s his actual facts on it!
Atm it’s all guesses and desire. Covid has made it incalculable at present.
5 years then maybe concrete evidence but now it’s pure maybes.
Not forgetting 25% green tax on everything doesn’t help but WE has a female friend who knows everything about why that’s good as well.

They had covid in the EU- so its like for like- we can"t keep dragging that up as to why we are going to be the worst performing nation bar Russia! The French had covid, yet cap the energy rise at 4%, with covid, we, are on 400% and rising- with covid, and aren"t wanting to change anything like taxing the oil giants, like you, even thou the head of BP has said tax us, we dont care as we made record profits and won2t be pulling out of any future deals!

As I have said before Teddy-(don"t they teach you people to read outside London?), I"m no fan of sir Keir, and couldn"t care who takes over running the country- but these CONservatives just have to go! Make it a coalition- but lizzy is no fan of outside London, so maybe we can have Freedom by a border around the M25, pay people to come in to work etc, only fair, we have to protect our own, and no offense, but fried mars bars and irn bru are a tad uncooth!

And who knows what the future might hold? Given what looks like a potentially fantastic new Government in Italy and the smashing job the likes of Orban in Hungary is doing, then perhaps rejoining a revitalised EU might actually be an option for the future?

Always said that a genuinely Right Wing, Pan-European vision had its attractions and perhaps if that takes hold in more and more nations, then rejoining could well be an option for the future.

And as I've said before I was born in London and lived there for 56 of my first 58 years. Maybe they don't teach comprehension outside London but talking about Irn Bru and fried Mars bars is wasted on me.
The point is that you talk about moving goalposts whilst criticising the party who took us into the EU in the first place.
By the way the word is uncouth or don't they teach spelling either?

Possibly, but changing the rules of democracy to suit ones own purpose, ie, not going to prison or losing your income, isn"t very democratic- if it is, who needs democracy?

Bit of whataboutery CP. You ignored the point about the unelected running the EU
