His finishes against both Liverpool and Villa in particular were superb. He missed a pen, so what, solid strike on target and more of a good save then it was a bad pen. To be selected as penalty taker must mean he's the best finisher at the club in the opinion of the management team? The fact that only Son and Kane have scored more in this calendar year is sensational given he plays for a mid table team. His role has changed in the team over the past 18 months as he has lost a yard of pace and is gradually being morphed into a striker/scorer and less of a creator. Anyway, he seems quite content at the moment and is playing some of his best football. Long may it continue. I would be surprised if he did sign a new contract though. Right-foot,and left-foot finishes across the goalkeeper into the far corner.

I will be very upset if he leaves. I can understand his wanting CL football so it is probably 'now or never' for him but are Arsenal in Europe ? We have to give Man Utd 25% of any fee so won't make much from his sale. Maybe £30 million which sounds a lot but he is worth more than this to us. He is in his best form at the moment, our lucky token, and hope he will stay for the last year of his contract and then say 'bon voyage' when he leaves on a free next July. He is indispensible until such time as we adjust for his absence as we are now doing for Gallagher. Olise and the other youngsters need to be blended into the team before he goes.

I expect him to go next summer, and it'll be a horrible day for the club if it does happen. We're in a far healthier state than we would have been had he gone 5 years ago, but I really don't think it's an exaggeration to say that there's a chance we'd be languishing in league 1 at the minute if it wasn't for him. His first phase of helping us get through that post-adminstration phase was so important before getting us promoted, and then the second phase of the Hodgson years where he near single handedly kept us up is a huge part of why we are currently a decent Premier League outfit. He'll be 3rd on all time Palace appearances by the end of this season and very likely 10th on the all time Palace goalscorers list. 64 Premier League goals and counting. Very possibly the most entertaining player to ever play for the club too. He can be as frustrating as hell but only because his talent is out of this world. On his day he is the reason people attend football matches. That goal he assisted in that high scoring end of season game against Bournemouth when their team tried everything they could to foul him and he ran the length of the pitch is just one example of the magic he possesses. He owes the club nothing, he blew the best years of his career to be here (yes he was handsomely paid, but he would have been anywhere he went). The club heavily owes its current status to him. Enjoy this season. It may be the last season of the best player that ever plays for Palace.

Zaha is utterly irreplacable, and though we are as well placed now as we have ever been to do OK without him, I'd be surprised if we ever see a comparable combination of sheer talent, longevity in a Palace shirt, and tangible achievement for the club. He is a true one-off. If he does go I would totally understand, and just hope that it's next summer, and to a Champions League club somewhere in Europe who are prepared to build their side around him. If he goes to any of the English big clubs he will be on the bench as much as the pitch, not because he isn't good enough, but because they stockpile talent rather than use it.

There’s also the belief or opinion he could have added to his natural ability to be beyond unbelievable. That would of ensured he would never of stayed. Still doesn’t change the fact he is what he is to Palace and therefore should be to us as fans!

It's interesting to note, however, that our biggest threat of relegation was our first season back in the Prem (13/14) when he wasn't with us at all.
