Definitely not, and its senior tories including Johnson who are saying so.

This is a very stupid remark she doesn't appear to be a sensible person for PM at all, what with 'antic-semitic' civil servants, fracking, daily flip-flops on any topic.

I was dead against Sunak, but he appears the more likely to me now.

Macron has been friendly throughout even made a state visit here during brexit.

Truss is a very stupid person.

Yeah, Richie rich seems more clued up on the economy for one, lizzy is just a flipper, pandering to 160k middle aged blokes, and the erg , so so bad that I almost think shes been put in place to make sure the CONS lose the next election, as whoever wins isn"t going to do much with the state of the eCONomy- see what I did there?

Mhm. Makes you wonder what is going behind the scenes at the moment. Seems a clumsy remark to make, and I would guess she is being included on intelligence briefings at the moment.

There was some chatter out there about Macron being involved in a rather 'Ugandan' moment at a recent G7 summit recently but his partiality to a bodyguard is not that much of a secret so who knows what is going on?

Whats a" Ugandan" moment Matov?Someone trying to assasinate him?

Labour, Liberal, Green, SNP, take your pic or maybe all 4- just so so so bad they have to go!Although, a part of me wants them to stay to clean up this mess, but whoever replaces them- lets be fair and give them at least 12 years to find their feet!

No, unless you can get it online I dont bother reading papers or magazines, although private eye would be my magazine of choice along with the guardian-they have done some great scoops over the years.

Macron response to Truss's remarks is both a master class in diplomacy and shows what grown up pragmatic politics looks like. A million miles away from the adolescent ideological posturing here.

Truss is way out of her depth.

Indeed, makes you ponder for the bygone days when we had real politicians running the country-not puppets with no actual agenda!

An uprising! Where do you think you live? Most of the country is not in dire straits, much as you would wish and doesn’t feel the need to rebel. You are clearly very disillusioned so maybe get your passport and go away to a better place. Stop with your lefty rants as boris has gone; you should be happy now as that was your wish.

Ha! There you go again. talk about rants. You can't see past your nose.

12 years in power.

Presiding over everything for the last 12 years and where do we find ourselves?

Yes, God bless the free market economy.

Inflation running riot.

The most expensive and inefficient trains in Europe.

The NHS on its knees as the Tory government starve it of funding, staff and infrastructure. Just so they can say: 'See? It's not working (yeah! cos of you!). It needs a drastic overhaul' (privatisation).

Massive profits for the energy companies, who don't seem to be doing so badly, in spite of the Ukraine situation. Meanwhile the poor and the elderly suffer - no doubt they're whinging snowflakes. Yes, Boris has gone, leaving us with Ms 'profit isn't a dirty word' Truss.

Water companies give massive payouts to shareholders while the water infrastructure is left to rot. s*** in our rivers and seas.

Nobody can afford a house to live in. A ridiculous housing market won't allow the young to buy, meanwhile the renting sector is extortionate.

Yet the whole concept of a 'green belt' is thrown out (all this 'red tape' needs to go) and the flags go up all over England's green fields while the new housebuilders renege on promises to build affordable housing.

Meanwhile we hear, again 'There's no such thing as society; only the individual and the family.' A quasi-Darwinesque, f*** you, world.

Is this a 'left - wing rant, or a brief summary of where we are now that the free - market, the untrammelled free-market, runs amok.?

I think I can guess what your answer to this will be.

12 years. 12 years and no one else to blame.

Sometimes, reading Holmesdale news and politics is like listening to a BNP/Daily Mail/Sun echochamber rant. Ha ha.

Don't you just love it?

Of course, but don't forget it was all the fault of Tony Bliar.

Rising prosperity, social justice, balanced budgets, falling crime, lower taxes linked to inflation, kids education etc. etc. seem like a lost paradise.

Can't see us getting out of this, the damage is so bad.
