It looks to me like he's leaving this week. He's not playing for
medicals etc. Just my gut feeling.

He was subbed off against Villa after taking a knock. Hopefully be back v Brentford.

Arteta basically said that Arsenal's business is done for the summer (if they can't get Neto) and Chelsea have bought Sterling and want Gordon who both play in Wilf's position.

I hope it’s an injury too…. But with the money Chelsea are throwing around Zaha would be a better option for them than Gordon and for a lot less than 60m, so chances are it could happen with maybe Gallagher as part of a deal in the way of a loan, we then use maybe the 20m towards Sarr ?

Knowing Palace management as we do, can you really see them letting Zaha go next year for nothing? I don't think so. Zaha is a physical beast and showed zero signs of being injured in any of our last 2 games. It all adds up to some very secret transfer business negotiations before the window closes. If ever we were strong enough to live without Zaha it's today. It's win, win, win. He gets his transfer + $$$ to a championship club, we get the $$$ to buy replacements before the window closes (maybe Gallagher? + more?), and the buying side get Zaha at full throttle. Do I hope I'm wrong? No. Not really. My heart says that Wilfred DESERVES a break and a bonus and his ambition to see how he does against Real Madrid etc.
No, with PV and our current squad, I'd be happy, but a tad happier if it's all bollocks and he's staying!

Wilf is listed in the Injury room treatment website as having a knock (non specific) with at the moment no return date -

I bloody hope you’re wrong. And I bet all season ticket holders hope you’re wrong. I sit in the Arthur between the half way line and the Homesdale where all the singing goes off. When Zaha gets the ball and we’re attacking the Homesdale, normally second half, the whole stand stirs and gets on its feet in anticipation. Zaha is so special. Players like him, and you can count them on one hand, are the reason people pay to watch.
He is fast, dangerous and electric. Ok he has off days, weeks, and occasionally months but this year and NOW he is back to his very best.
I’m hoping his injury will deflect any last minute buyer away. How can he get a medical when he is not fit?
The day he goes will be a very very bad day for the club and even the atmosphere his play stirs up.
No, he is staying. The longer the better.

Is it a knock ... or is it the last we'll see of Wilf with Chelsea and Arsenal knocking at his door? I truly hope it's not the latter but he deserves his chance.

My first thought was, I have to admit, "sh!t he's off". He was training during the week as he shared videos on his social media, but it could be it is minor. What I would say is if he is going this late in the window then I hope we're getting a very good fee and I also hope we have a replacement lined up.

As for today it'll be interesting to see who replaces him. Personally I'd just stick Mateta up top as at least he winds defenders up with his physicality. Such a shame though as Walker was awful against Newcastle and with Wilf's form he could have tormented him.

OH MY GOD you lot have taken bed wetting to a new level , he is injured and the man city game is best to not risk him getting further injured , if he goes he goes not the end of the world my money is on a knock that they dont want to risk , he would have been lone striker today so lots of running , so rest him and play Edouard then switch with Mateta if needed , now go back to to your teddy bears and play nicely

It is clear that the reported injury has 'Set hares running' with thought processes gallivanting down the path of the possibility of an inverse of the truth.

Only last night in a local Public House a supporter made a beeline for me as I entered the establishment quizzing me on this matter.

If you are wrong be prepared to apologise in a big way as Zaha leaving is a very realistic proposition. Oh, and do yourself a favour and stop the casual insults, we are all Palace fans on here, although at times I have to admit that seems questionable.

and if i am right well we will see , I do wonder if they are palace fans , players come players go but we still support them , 52 years on and the only time i was really worried was in 2010 really worried i was unemployed and went on the march spent most of my spare money on that day , and i live in essex so traveling cost me , I do hate people who add 1+1 and come up with 9 hence my small insult

I hope he doesn’t go to Arsenal for a song.

He’s just what Chelsea need to give them that zip and unpredictability. All their players are a little dull albeit gifted and well drilled.

Incorporate a swap with Gallagher.

The beatings will stop when morale improves.
