Age not a big gap does make a difference as well one is 20 the other 22 do the maths of when both was playing in Championship at same time. I don't see the point of signing this guy now and paying out 12-15m when he is out of contract in the summer might as well push to sign the next transfer window for half the price or get the talks going with player to get on free in summer.

The point may be that if we pay now we are more likely to get him at what is - intis bonkers market, a modest price - and develop him into the Palace mold. Wait till season end and 2 thing might happen. He will have had a poor season in which case we dodged a bullet; or he has fulfilled his promise and developed well, in which case we will be in an almighty scramble with a host of other clubs for his signature - not something this prudent club tends to do well at. It may also mean that if we get him, his wages will be a lot higher. BTW, not much news on this story.

You always seem to have blinkers on, he has played a third of his games on the left wing, Olise played mostly as a No 10 for Reading, if we could get him for 8m, same as Olise a bargain

A season ticket holder for Reading a close friend of mine I messaged what you put and they laughed replying with he has never been a number 10. Time for you to learn positions Semenyo did not play as a winger also his game time is not great you would expect a lot more for a person of his age.

Eg I had no idea until seeing that ch4 doc that Eze was released by every club on all his contract offers. This guy may have bad luck, breaks in development, poor decisions made for him etc.

We really need to get this player before someone else gets him, he is special and the ideal Wilf replacement, don't wait for his contact to run out, go in and pay a fee that ties him to the club, or we will miss an outstanding player who can play along the front three.
