I do like Mateta, but my god his first touch is awful. The ball just bounces off him and he usually has to run after it.

Perhaps he should be nicknamed "Trampoline".

That made me chuckle - but it's true. Against Brentford I was almost tearing my hair out.

I think he went to the Carlton Palmer school of ball control!

Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Carlton Palmer can trap a ball further than I can kick it.

It's painful to watch, isn't it. It's almost like if we could blend Mateta's work rate and confidence with Eduoard's ability...we'd have a half decent striker!

Although I do love it on the odd occasion where the bounce off him wrong foots the defence

I think the only really natural goal scorers we had in my time of Watching was, Mike Elwiss, Kevin Mabbutt, Ian Wright and Andy Johnson, sadly the first two suffered career ending injuries.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Glenn Murray? Chris Armstrong wasn't bad. We didn't get much of Clive Allen but he could score.
