Fairness? What a lying joke.

This here represents what the real liberal elites think. They will do anything to stop what they regard as evil. They are about as interested in fairness as they are in being personally poor.

If you haven't yet seen the Sam Harris video clip, watch it as it reveals the mentality and metaphorically just how far they would go.

TDS....Trump Derangement Syndrome.

I quite like a flat rate tax across the board. For it to work you would pretty much have to abolish all forms of tax breaks.

The good news is that the rich would pay more because if you earn £1m pa say you never pay 40% on that currently due to your clever accountant.

Suddenly, a load of unemployed Accountants and Tax Specialists - hardly dare envisage how boring dole queues would become.
I'd never really thought about it but, quite seriously, an overly complicated, antiquated and legalistic tax system, full of loopholes, keeps thousands in jobs. Probably tens of thousands! Let's face reality: flat rate tax would be bound to have a loophole for the rich anyway, that we can guarantee.

Same applies to the benefits system. One of the few advantages of a basic income is that you could scrap most of the benefits, the bureaucracy and the thousands of the jobs that go with it.

Unfortunately this is a bit of a left wing unicorn so far where it has been trialed it has not delivered and the trials have not progressed further.

I honestly never got over him using Kinnock's speech verbatim in 1988. How can you do that and make a comeback? Plagiarism doesn't cut it even - this is just BS. 'I'm the first in my family to go to university. My Father's a miner, my father's father was a miner' and so on, just the same speech! To be fair it's actually hilarious.

Well give more and hmg won’t have to. You said you wouldn’t have an issue if you were taxed more; so give more until your at that level you perceive to be at with what would be new tax rules at 20%. We all give to charity, well the workers anyhow by the fact the UK sends money to poor countries. Do more wissie, you can afford it !
