Chelsea should definitely go for Potter and Brighton should go for Neil Warnock

That would be one happy day to see Colin turn up at the Amex!

Can't help but being a bit selfish and hoping the turbulence at both clubs could give us a bit of an edge in our fixtures against these sides that are coming up very soon

I guess if big Pat had been tearing it up at the beginning of the season he might have been in the frame for the job at Chelsea. But hearing they are after Potter has given me a nice warm glow. This means Brighton will be back to square one, whilst Chelsea are clutching at straws again…

This is the problem your team hits a bit of form and everyone wants your best players and manager, that’s football for you.

To be fair Potter is great.

But I think he'd be mad to go, and Chelsea mad to appoint him. As he has shown, he'll need some time to evolve the football and he aint gonna get that at Chelsea.

They are better off going for someone like Potch who can come straight in, and is used to these sort of situations

I agree, he shouldn't touch the Chelsea job with a barge pole - that's not to say he won't. The flattery of being approached by a big club may be too much to resist.

Bets on where Potter ends up next after a disastrous ride at Chelsea?
In two years time, perhaps less I envisage him getting the sack at Bournemouth or QPR after cocking it all up and earning him self a righteous seat at The British Managers Club.

Money talks. In modern football, modern sport, money then ambition will almost certainly see Potter at Chelsea or one of the big clubs very soon.

At the minute Brighton have crashed the top 6 party. That’s not on. Normality will soon be restored once Potter is bought by the big bucks. Good luck to him. Then we can wave to Brighton on there way past us.

Conversely, I am hoping by next summer we will have offered Wilf an unmatchable deal that will secure him for another few years.

Loyalty is a word that the modern structure of football has done its best to eliminate in favour of greed. A bit like taking the knee, Wilf is proving so far to be an exception to the rule. Good on him on both fronts.

Potter would have to monumentally screw up to fall from grace in Brighton, he wont have those previously earnt brownie points in the bag at CFC - Also at CFC without almost instantaneous success there is always another "special one" or similar waiting in the wings to take over the moment results falter, additionally the previous much loved pair of fat frank & john terry will no doubt become CFC managers at some time going forward (Fat Frank for a second time, obvs)

If I was Potter I would sit tight & take the England job after the world cup.

But as many others have said, ambition & a high profile job offer has turned many a head in the past & will continue to do so.

If I was Potter I would stay put.
Chelsea is a nasty club and he may get a lot of dough but they won't have patience with him if he screws up early doors.
I hope Chelsea suffer!

All of which is true but as a Palace fan I hope he goes to Chelsea and Brighton get the new Ian Dowie.
