I lived in West Croydon from 1978 to 1982.
Moved to Coulsdon and lived there to 1986.

I don't ever remember it being that bad. Purley used to be OK. Coulsdon hasn't fared much better.

Still have family in Kenley but rarely visit.
I haven't been to Croydon for 30 years. I have only been to Palace at home twice since then.

We moved to Dorset in 86 to a life of no crime, fresh air and no worry of violence. Surrounded by farmland. Bought up two sons who prospered greatly.

Highly recommended if you can get there.

Once again a tragic loss of life over what I'm sure will be a completely pointless matter.

It’ll often now be because the culprit didn’t want to lose (face), so stabbed the person he was arguing with, whether in person or on Facebook in front of hundreds of local teenagers.

Indeed, a toxic mentality, where the moment of bravado/machismo has terrible consequences and it's about the most cowardly thing someone could do.

Indeed.

I would also add that it could be so well ingrained in the culture now that such an attack is the ‘done thing’. I will also speculate that social media has something to do with it too.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

If you are talking about the small hospital on the left just after Purley Cross, yes it’s. Drive that way fir every home game

yes, spider, thats the one.
probably spent over 10 yrs decorating the gaff (mainly on a sunday, hungover or straight in the evenings)
decorated just about every corridor, office, ward, even the tiny morgue at the back.

Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

The problem there has always been that so many youngsters say that they have to carry a knife for their own protection - and some of them are probably not lying.

not a viable excuse, the line needs to be drawn & examples made.
it'll save lives & communities.
the ' law' is way out of touch & not working, certain freedoms have become our weakness.
you cant carry a flamethrower for your protection, so no knives either.

The best 'protection' is to be somewhere else or to run away.

A knife never protected anybody. Use a knife, go to jail and then lose 100 more fights.
