Not sure you are correct. I believe train strike was announced on 1st September, Brighton were still hopeful of getting a postponement on 7th, the day Tuchal was sacked. If my dates are incorrect then I apologise

I believe the game was postponed once it was known that that Saturday would be a train strike. The train strike was then cancelled because of the death of the queen but not reinstated because it would've drawn away too many police officers when they were needed in the capital. Man U v Leeds and Arsenal-PSV were postponed for similar reasons.
