It's not his job to distribute wealth, it is the government's who he did not vote for.

Also as a tory surely you would not begrudge a person spending their hard earned money?

BTW I fear our future if Labour get in but you cannot surely defend the current regime? Truss was always going to be crap, but could anyone have guessed she would be this crap.

Yep. Many of us. And see Sunak’s 7% mortgage rate prediction eye to eye with truss.

Many people are condemning her, she has only been in power a couple of weeks the speculators have attacked our economy because that's what they do.

I don't know if this is a good or bad mini budget you have to giver her at least a year. The BOE told us we were already in recession and yet the latest figures shown we are not.

My point is that economic forecasts are notoriously tricky and the best economists are those that look at the past those that look at the future might as well have a crystal ball.

I am not defending Liz or the Tories but it's far too early to predict doom and gloom.

0.2% growth as things decline and get worse means it’s only a matter of time.

My point was that yet again the BOE got it's forecast wrong. I think a world wide recession is likely but how deep and how long remains to be seen.

I think CP said he was crap so that was my point about his hypocrisy.

Was this in the forecast anyway? A worldwide recession is more than likely. There aren’t many who think otherwise.

The BOE the OBR and the IMF are have a patchy record when it comes to forecasting. The BOE should have put up interest rates a lot earlier then they did. So far Mark Carney is not impressing.

Yes but cost push inflation via essentials isn’t straightforward. And regardless, I don’t think many truly believe there won’t be a recession. What is there telling people there won’t be?

Don't we all? I am a director of my own company and take advantage of everything I can to save tax. Even Starmer's idol Sir Tony Warmonger Blair too advantage of tax saving schemes to save money in an offshore property purchase

Also strange how 3 months ago richi didn’t have a clue as he’s minted and now he’s the soothsayer. More double standards.

Show me where I rattle on about poor people, keep saluting the Eton mess member for medway- these are the kind of people they rely upon!I might just fancy a fairer society for all, not just looking after the super rich with tax cuts, but you probably think they work hard and deserve a tax break!

Actually always said he was the best of the two, as she was a known thicko-then the" usual suspects", defended her- but getting thrown out of a meeting as foreign secretary because you have no idea of the world map didn"t bode well, at least glance at the map of Russia and look what countries are nearby!
