Can only think that fight getting lined up has cost Catterall. Some people stand to make a lot of money off that one.

I haven't seen the fight so I won't prejudge it but it's certainly true that British boxing has a bad home town reputation now.

Feels like a stain.....fecking corruption.

Absolutely disgusted at last night’s result! Felt so sorry for Jack Catterall.
How Ian John Lewis can score that 14-11 to Taylor when everyone else gave at least six of the first seven rounds to Catterall, there was a 10-8 round and both had a point deducted.
Even the promoter strongly hinted that the judges were bent on Talksport!

Earlier today I was in conversation with a couple of learned gentlemen who are aficionados of boxing and have travelled to witness major fights abroad. Both were in a state of utter incredulity about the result.

Me too! Sometimes fights and rounds can be subjective and us watching at home maybe don’t always know what to look for but there was no doubt in who won that fight!
I’m sure Lewis has previous for “strange “ scoring in the past too.

Earnie Shavers died yesterday. Can't be many who ever punched as hard as him.

Wow, first I've heard.

Sad news.

I didn’t watch the canelo golovkin fight but reading the report it shows that warriors don’t have to hate each other. Respect to both of them.

I'm not keen on women boxing, no particular reason - it just doesn't sit right with me. But. I really hope Marshall bashes the absolute granny out of Shields tonight.

Fair play, Marshall gave it her best shot but Shields was just too good. Can't say it's made me want to watch any more women's boxing though.

Shields was very good and if she carried any power would be untouchable. Thought Marshall did well but her herky-jerky style didn't allow her to plant her feet and put any power into her punches which in turn took away her main weapon.

Dodgy result in the main support act between the 2 yanks. Mayer won it by 3 or 4 rounds but 2 of the English judges gave it to Baumgartner by a round.
The crowd booed. I don't think anything dodgy about it just that they where watching a different fight to everyone else!

Wilder dispatched Helenius at the end of round 1. Not really any surprises there, but Wilder's hand-speed is supersonic. I have to watch the replay in slow motion to actually catch it.
Whoever he's put against will be in a high-risk zone. Don't see Usyk or Joshua wanting any of that, although Fury has already beaten him enough already.
