Until we have a written constitution and MPs have a contract of employment they will continue to get away with murder.

It is not acceptable for an MP who has campaigned on the party manifesto to then change their mind without putting that to the electorate e.g. a by election. I am referring to the major issues
that the party has identified in their manifesto e.g. Brexit.

As for PM well personally I would insist that any change in PM should be put to the electorate within say 6-12 months.

It’s many people’s view of things. I also believe it is the view of most constitutional scholars.

No-one has to just accept anything! Campaigning for change, whilst abiding by the law, is a fundamental right.

Based on Edmund Burke's opinion which is now out dated.

Our political system requires a major overhaul but that's down to our MPs who come across as largely self-interested with short term vision.

Tbf, I have asked Willo three times which way he voted in the leadership election and he hasn't answered. I think it's a fair question and I'd really be interested to know where his loyalties lie.

Quite why you seem so reluctant to answer, Willo, is odd. This prevarication is discombobulating.

can you enlighten me?

At a time when 95% of the adult population did not have the vote.

Burke did not agree with democracy but I can see why some on here love him as he felt an elite group of educated men should rule on behalf of the masses who could not be trusted.

Surely you mean a group of hard working intellectuals who put country before party and self interest

Change the words 'country' to 'football' and 'party' to 'ego' and we have another discussion point.

I had been thinking of finding a friendly bookmaker. Knowing that Her Majesty had 14 Prime Ministers, and that King Charles moved swiftly onto number two, I was thinking about what odds might be available on him getting to five. However, Mr Sunak seems to be showing love for this country and may last a number of years - meaning that Charles may not get to five.

You'll have to ask Wisbech Eagle he seems to know them.

I have to say, I am laughing at Liz Truss' statement of 'I know brighter days lie ahead', oh that really has tickled me.

What a statement to make regarding your own 'sacking'. She may as well have said 'things can only get better from here' lol. TBF, she's not too far wrong!
