Whatever individual opinions are, it will be a very sad day for me when Wilf is no longer in the team. He has been the face of the Palace team for so long in my eyes. He perhaps could have done so much more, would almost definitely have done that elsewhere if so, so on and so forth but I think it ludicrous to imagine Palace as we are now, from where we were, without Wilf. Yes temperament could have been better, end product could have been worked on, so on and so forth but of little concern at this stage. He ironically for me looks to be declining, only slightly, in the attributes that made him so great but ironically improving where he lacked before. Funny ol' world indeed!

I, for one, will feel forever grateful to Wilf with regards to what he has done for Palace. I wish him all the best in every endeavour however this plays out. Has to be considered our most treasured son.

Just noticed that the Everton game was his 400th for Crystal Palace.

We're lucky to have him and I believe he has so much more to give. We did half a rebuild job last summer very well. This year it's stagnated somewhat. If we can find the funds for the other half, we have a real chance to kick on. Wilf can still be the focal point of a young, dynamic team.

We need to persuade him that we still have forward momentum. This means investment in the squad. He turns 30 next week, and is more likely to get another 100 games with us than, say, Arsenal, Chelsea etc.

I think its genuinely going to be a difficult decisions for him.

He still blows relatively hot and cold. Started the season great, and then a quiet couple of games.

If he's smart and humble enough he'll know that at the top top teams that unpredictable form gets you benched.

Not sure he would get in City, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool teams. Chelsea he probably would.

Would there be any point him leaving for a lower top half team?

I think with Sons injury, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool are all possible, he might not play every game but not many do at these clubs
