Brazilians + Football + Palace = no brainer for me. Can't wait regardless of thoughts on timing, appropriateness etc.

With a bit of luck they will bring their cheerleaders with them as well

And we still need a striker

Or inevitably in our case, they've got to do something to make sure a number of players pick up injuries that keep them out of the squad when the proper football resumes. Football has been crying out for years to have a mid-season break. Now that we have one, what do we do but organise pointless friendlies?

Edited by YT (04 Nov 2022 7.49am)

We shouldn't be wrapping our players in cotton wool. If they aren't playing matches they'll still be training for the most part of the WC break so as to maintain fitness levels etc. And, let's face it, it seems as many players get injured in training as in matches. There is no substitute for match fitness and playing a first division Brazilian side in the middle of what is otherwise an overlong 6 week break is eminently sensible IMO.

Bring it on.
Unfortunately, I've another commitment that day (the only Saturday during the WC break that I have a prior commitment - that's always the way, isn't it?)

My thoughts exactly, I知 not a great fan of friendlies and not sure I知 going yet, but as friendlies go, this is a great choice of opponent. Could be a bit of a carnival atmosphere because there痴 a lot of Botafogo fans living in London I believe

'The Crystals' with 'Brazilians' would raise my interest levels!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

On that basis, we should play K.F. Tirana.
