If so, could I also (given my Irish heritage, religious identity and raising in London) use the phrase 'But some of my best friends are..' in defence?

It is clearly unreasonable for foreigners to come over here and murder their own clearly so that by doing so they gain access to the cushy UK prison system. Maybe we need to establish hard labour camps exclusively for those coming over just to exploit our penal system, ideally somewhere desolate and chilly like The Highlands.
