How dare the left wing Guardian publish an article that doesn't slag off Brexit!
A good article as it happens

One voice is very unlikely to make much difference, other than to the views of a tiny number. Many voices might, but if they all remain silent, they won't.

I believe in democracy and in speaking up.

Except when it concerns Brexit?

Apparently democracy only exists when it's MPs....you see he only believes in the establishment's 'democracy', seemingly not the actual concept itself.

Larry Elliott from the Guardian is talking nonsense.

'After six years, the argument for Brexit remains what it always was: an opportunity to look at an under-performing economy in a new light and to do things differently. Whether that opportunity will be seized or squandered remains to be seen'.

The economy was better before brexit even with Osborne and recent events have shown the opposite, that the UK cannot just do as it wants without facing the consequences.

Carney is doubling up on his view that the fall of sterling was due to leaving and has not recovered since.

As always with brexit the leavers waffle on giving no facts in support as Elliott doesn't either.

The UK doesn't control its economy. it's borders or have any 'sovereignty' than before, it's a mess.

Just seen this. Spain is lobbying to change the 90 day rule for Britains.

[Link]

Currently EU citizens can spend 6 months in the UK but the EU being an ass as normal only offered us 90 days. Guess what Spain and Greece are feeling the pinch as it has hit their tourism.

It's not the most important issue in UK EU relations but hopefully they are starting to see sense and be a bit more pragmatic about this stuff.

All non-EU nationals have always been given 6 months as visitors to the UK whilst most other countries give 90 days. I always thought we were over generous.

I don't know how often it needs to be said but Brexit only became democratic when Parliament triggered Article 50. The referendum vote was not democratic. It cannot be so in our Parliamentary system.

I don't believe in the establishment's anything. I believe in our Parliamentary democracy. One in which referendums have no democratic legitimacy.

You are free to campaign to change that fact, and with others vote in a Parliament who agrees to change it. Until then it's what we have, whether you agree with it, or like it.

But it will be better tomorrow, or next week, or in 50 years, and anyway the pandemic and the war have put clouds in the way of our golden dawn.

So it's not fair. It was my turn to play outside but someone stole the ball, and then it rained. They're being horrid Mummy.

50 years ago it was people like you who were saying that immigration would improve this country and that people would integrate into our way of life.

So I regard your sarcasm rather ironically.

I don’t think said integration included wanting to blow us up.
