If you don’t like it your not right in head or dairy intolerant I go with that having a son who is coeliac so yup having allergy. Anyhow lots of cheese has a 7 day after opening use by date. Cathedral city (well pricey) and Tesco mature lots cheaper. Only use by date so pack I opened tonite would last till january(no chance till Sunday ) but in these times we need to preserve our dosh and our food so just a heads up. It may be cheaper for Aldi etc but on the whole a longer date can save money.

I used to work in the dairy Industry, cheese in particular. Sell by and use by dates mean absolutely nothing at all, they are a money making tool invented by the industry.
Check your food and if it's gone it will stink and change colour in most cases. I love a yoghurt and trust me I've eaten them whst months out of date with no ill effects at all. Tinned food lasts years also. Do not be put off by these dates as I've stated they mean bugger all.

Cheese expiry dates are guesswork. In my experience cheese normally goes off quicker than the expiry date. Most other stuff I’ll ignore but poultry and fish you’ve got to be more careful with. It’s the leg meat. Breast meat not near the juices lasts longer. Why people freak out over red meat is funny. They have no idea about red meat and how it’s managed before it goes on the shelves so in my fridge is of little concern.

I enjoy a nice piece of brie from my local farm shop. No dates involved and the smellier and runnier the better as far as I'm concerned.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I never take any notice of 'use by' or 'best before' dates.

Started making my own butter after watching this, really easy, tastes like anchor, costs less and 70g more...plus you get buttermilk out of it which has multiple uses.

I'm thinking of doing the same with bread.

Making your own cheese though looks like it costs and seems more a hobby.
