Try saying what you have said here to my face.

We would see who shat themselves.

I don't defend those who fail to support those trying to educate their children effectively. There is a huge difference between teaching youngsters in a careful, caring and thoughtful way about diversity in society, so they are equipped to handle today's world in a better, more informed, way than their parents, and bringing "sexuality into the lives of little children".

That you even describe it like that shows just how prejudiced and ignorant some people are. Your words truly show everyone who you are.

That you threaten to respond with fists, and not with reason, is yet more evidence of that. Those who do so prove their arguments are empty and meaningless.

And it's being criticised because of the actions of it's originator. He's just playing identity politics by pretending there are other reasons.

I don't follow this Senator's every word, but he must be popular enough to be elected.

I think the tweet stands alone and addresses a valid concern.

That others want to link it to other things he may have said is not something I believe destroys that validity. Indeed, it rather reinforces the point he is making.

That is what the tweet actually says, whether or not you agree with that is a different issue.

The opinions in the tweet are IMHO nonsense in terms of the association of the word " groomer " and " fa**ot "

I do not think there is any conspiracy to link homosexuality with pedophilia, the two things are different albeit not mutually exclusive.

I do not think being gay would somehow make you abhor pedophilia less.

This Wiener guy seems to be looking for something to get attention

With respect, I think you need to see it in the context of what is happening in the USA. Taken on its own, what you say above is probably true, but put in that context it isn't.

Do listen to the BBC podcast on this subject I have referenced in previous comments. It will explain a lot.

You have twisted the argument to be about attacking homosexuals when that was not stated. While I stated that it's only the right attacking this exploitation and sexualization the fact is a disclaimer was specifically stated separating normal people on the left from the sexual exploitation of the young.

You defend the indefensible and you have been called out for it.

Reinforces that...
The word "groomer" is categorically an anti-LGBTQ hate word. It's super homophobic/Transphobic.

And that addresses a valid concern?

Interestingly Biden's Twitter account has lost about nine million subscribers since I last posted on it, while Trump's account gained another million....which he still isn't using.

I imagine those nine million were bots....if that's true then how surprising that the Democrats would use fake accounts for Biden.....not.

Musk has suggested recently that what's he's been learning about how Twitter was run is quite shocking...if that was the right word. Hopefully, we get to hear more soon.

As for Trump, I'd still prefer DeSantis in 2024 but the engagement he gets can't be denied. I'm hearing some interesting developments around his campaign at the moment but I'll keep that spicy stuff for myself as it might be nonsense.

These people are super obvious, and they hide behind claims of oppression to frighten people away from looking. Claim they are against these terrible crimes yet attack those who highlight them.

Interestingly it is the same tactic that activists used against those concerned about grooming gangs.....accuse them of racism and hatred.... frighten them that making noise and highlighting what was happening could see them losing their jobs. Those within our institutions and out at all levels are a part of what happened. These crimes continued for decades before greater public exposure. Those who exposed them being the mainstream did were insulted and ignored.

There is still no justice for what happened and what continues to happen to this day.

Look at what Corbyn's Labour did to Sarah Champion even after the scandal broke, they pushed her out of the Shadow cabinet and all she did was say what actually happened.

You defend the indefensible and you have been called out for it.

The tweet you referenced is directed solely to the way the right in the USA are trying to link the LGBT communities to pedophilia. The so called “don’t say gay” movement.

You have then joined in with this, as you do above, by describing it as “exploitation and sexualisation”. You even use the American spelling, very clearly giving away where you trawl up these attitudes from.

It’s you being called out!

I don’t, never have, and never will, defend the sexual exploitation of anyone. I will though defend those responsible for determining how the young are to be educated in today’s better informed, more tolerant and inclusive world. We need to prepare them for the world that is. Not the one that was.

That some US parents need education too is sad. It’s more than sad to find it replicated here.

When did the education of children become a terrible crime?

Teaching children well will enable them to identify those trying to exploit them and lessen risks.

People like you want to leave them in the dark, fearful of everyone and aware of nothing.

Probably? The tweet has a face value and no defence.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Exactly. There are two points here:

1. The articulation of "Alignment of the word 'groomer' with homosexuals is..." is not very hard. The statement does not do this, it looks to quite clearly be stating "you can't call anyone/use the word groomer and if you do, it's a hate crime". A 'groomer' being a paedophile targeting children for sexual exploitation. It's seeking to remove the usage of a word employed to identify such peoples.

2. The individual making this statement and his association with pro-paedophile activity and campaigning.

A poignant conclusion is quite easily drawn from this and the point of ridiculing and damning those seeking to align non-heterosexuals with paedophilia is quite easily made. The statement does not do this, from a supposed public figure whose job revolves around the necessity for such clarity and articulation.
