Has anyone mentioned Greggs' products are mostly awful compared to independent bakers everywhere, they are however relatively cheap and these days there os a need for thst in the food sector

Have read up a bit on the potential of lithium mining in Cornwall. Most optimistic forecasts indicate in five years time the industry might employ 400 people. Likely most of the technical folks will not be locals .

It's a start. After years of decline, the mining industry looks as though it might be turning a corner. They are talking about recovering heat from this as well, which could easily become important. So let's see. Actually, the Camborne School of Mining continues to supply mining engineers to all over the world, so it might be nice for them to have some jobs locally.

It's kind of strange here regarding pies/pasties they're available but expensive compared to the UK. There's a place in the West Village called Myers of Keswick & they are very pricey albeit they're baked on the premises & are fresh.
You can get decent sausage rolls at The Butcher's Block in Queens & also there is Bourkes which I believe is an Australian company (no doubt one of our Aussie eagles can confirm) but once again expensive.
Last but not least a company called Pie Face popped up in multiple locations about 5/6 years ago but as fast as they appeared they soon filed for bankruptcy (once again an Australian Company)
Pastelitos & Empanadas as well as the Jamaican Beef Patty are probably the nearest thing.
