With Arsenal going well in the League, almost sure to get a Champions league spot, and with Jesus out for a while, and Martinelli linked with Barcelona, surely a move for Wilf in Jan would be inevitable, 15m and they get him, if Palace refuse, i don't think Wilf would be pleased and it could seriously affect his form and attitude, and then he is sure to walk for nothing in the summer window.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

There's been many an absurd theory or assertion made on here, not least by myself, but I do not see this as one of them.

My only comment is that I really hope not. If Arsenal are sincerely interested I think they would wait, confidently, until the summer however given the factors you have highlighted this may be possible. My only other comment would be that I would guess, only guess, that Arsenal, or more importantly Arteta, may be looking towards a model that would not lend itself to accommodating Wilf. I wouldn't be surprised if their own bar, even if not articulated as such, would be 'higher'.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

A no wilf team with no replacement:
*************Guaita***************
****Ward****Andersen****Guehi*****
Clyne****Luka****Doucoure**Schlupp
*******Olise*******Eze************
************Edouard***************

Maybe Richards or Balmer for Ward, a good enough team to stay up, but not much more

Johnstone, Butland, Mithcell, Tomkins, Jairo, Hughes, Ebowei, Ayew, Mateta and Gordon as back ups

The Jesus absence could prompt interest in Wilf, the Martinelli speculation is just that.

I don't think a move is '' inevitable '', and we have no idea about a prospective fee.

From Palace's perspective, it would be a gamble to sell Zaha in January. Like it or not, he's still the main man and keeping him offers us the best chance of avoiding a relegation battle. So if it was down to me I would not let him go. We've been in this situation with Wilf before and he hasn't allowed the situation to affect him.

He has every right to walk for nothing in the summer when his contract is up. Until that point he's our player unless the club allow him to go next month.

Is he good enough for a top six club. Probably not now. So therein lies the dilemma as it is likely if he doesn’t re sign he will end up going to a second tier prem club which offers little more than we can. In which case I would stay because at this stage it really can’t be about the money.

I tend to think players want one last big pay off at Wilf's stage. He could get a large signing on fee somewhere else and at least matching wages. The largest signing on fee would likely be for next season, however, rather than January. Teams signing him on a free will have had no transfer fee and players and agents make up for that.

You continually keep trying to sell our best player, are you on a percentage?

Best player, top goal scorer, Parish will do everything to keep him. Doesn’t fit Arsenals policy anymore of young players.

I don't believe Zaha is top of anyone's shopping list. I think he is the guy they will turn to if they don't land their main target in which case why would you want to go to a club like that.

I don't think Zaha goes anywhere in January. All he has to do is play for Palace for 5 more months and then pocket a 5 - 7 million signing on bonus. Why give that up to warm a bench somewhere else?

This is what I think too. I hope he doesn't sulk for the rest of the season, it's a bit annoying to see someone earning 125k a week for playing football be unhappy about it. Bring back the joy.

So he can play Champions league this year as Arsenal can make 3 changes to their squad, i, personally would be amazed if he dose not go in Jan

Arsenal aren’t in the Champions League this season.
