I must say that does sound more realistic than the one i googled, but also the highlight of your post was the picture of Karin Hart

The reality is no one else is really scoring. Wilf can be annoying, dramatic, selfish and frustrating, but he still carries the biggest goal threat. The big question is whether that is because, like Ronaldo, he expects everything to go through him, or is it that we just don't have enough threat up top? I worry it is more the latter.

On the money front he's not going to accept the same terms, let along lower ones. At best he probably has 3 years left at the top level of the game and with a young family, business investments and charities to support I imagine he'll want to do what's best for him, and why not really. He's a huge reason why we're still in the PL, he's received a good salary for that, and both parties are in a stronger position than when he re-joined the club. If we offer him a better contract and he accepts then great, but I think the lack of noise on both sides tells us what we need to know.

i also think our Key players are Eze, Andersen, Olise, Guehi and Doucoure, its more important to keep that 5 than Wilf,

I don't see the relevance in this given that they are all under contracts that have plenty of time on them.

But if you want to know how to keep players happy, then in general, selling your best players is not the way to go.

If Wilf will accept a new contract then I for one will be happy.

The relevance is they are all on a third to a half on Wilfs salary, so i dont want that five to be unhappy just to keep Wilf Happy, new improved improved Contacts for Olise, Eze and Guehi is far more important if it rocks the boat, personally i wouldn't be happy if i was one of that five and Wilf kept the 130k or more for 3 years.

I dont think money is a big deal tbh. If Wilf wants to win a trophy its now or never for him to leave.

I would love him to win a trophy its the least he deserves!

Wherever you work there is a wage hierarchy. Zaha has performed at the highest level for Palace over the years. It’s right that he is the top earner at the moment. I think it would be unrealistic of any other Palace players to expect to match Wilfs salary and I don’t see any evidence that a problem exists.

The players you mentioned have only recently joined, and one, Olise , has just signed a hugely improved contract.

Zaha is still our main scorer, goals win games, thats why he is important to Palace.

Its that simple.

If we could get in someone with say the qualities of Sarr for 10 mill and wages of 80 to 100k per week then i would let Wilf go . He has been and still is a quality player but he would want 10 mill signing on fee plus 150k per week at least for him to stay with us. IMO

Obviously agree that someone like that would be great, but if that player did exist we'd be in a queue with about 16 other Premier League teams.
