Well, sure but I'm wondering whether there isn't a general decline in the nuclear family unit in other countries too and what the reasons for that might be other than a welfare state.

- contraception
- abortion

- divorce
- delayed parenthood

- career women...disposable income....high house prices...everybody cannot afford to have kids anymore( only in those countries).

In terms of family life, reproduction, society & culture....some places are a trainwreck

Japan, Italy, Germany, Spain.....elderly populations all headed to the dustbin of history

Sadly, the 'exemplar of womanhood' in the OP, will not be enough to rescue society.

Also, her neighbours may well be 'our soles' however that for me is quite the massive assumption and far more of one than saying she's a (insert Cryst-esque adjectives) who has had 5 kids, sponges off the state, charities and others etc. I'm actually inclined to believe the latter probably has some rings of truth to it though again do not know that factually and concede I could be wrong.

In any instance, to echo my earlier posts, firstly I don't agree with such lifestyle choices (assuming they are) and see them as ponces and secondly I don't see why the BBC thought this reasonable to report on? If they want to do something on cost-of-living crisis then perhaps visit your average, young couple or family where both adults work but have been massively affected by economic shifts (as one example)?

Slag slut and dog just to help !

Just asking for clarification.

It matters not a jot tbh. That’s there, this is here. Are you a clone of wissie ?

Yep.

Some people even still start further threads, on football forums, as a result of ennui, isolation and a huge over-reaction to very mild disgruntlement.

And a much smaller number actually know what ennui means
