The NHS in ruins while Sunak spends lavishly on No.10 as though anyone voted him there.

Now below 20% in the polls.

Lavishly on no.10; with a 4 grand drinks trolley!
Yup that would put everything right if he got one from Argos for a oner

Could they avoid caving in to unions with Marxist leaders and prevent their ridiculous wage demands adding to inflation?
Could they'fix' the NHS?

NO.

They would have been bleedin' useless like they always are.

I guess we have to go through the usual cycle whereby people too young to remember the last time they were in get a chance to see how pathetic they are.

Oh God, here we go again. that word 'Marxist' bandied around.
Are you saying that the leaders of the train unions are all communists as defined by the writings of Das Kapital? Do uou even know what those writings are? Do you even know what defines a Marxist?

Just another lazy application of a conveneient word to join you on your bandwagon of Daily Mail puke - writing.

The destruction of the NHS started way before any pandemic, as well we know. The underinvestment since 1997 has been systematic and with a view to the privatisaton of the service.

But then, you'll never change your mind on anything on here. Just spout, spout, spout.

Ha ha. Comedy show.

Hereditary peers are definitely not the way. They do all they can to prevent change in areas such as land reform, where change is so desperately needed, inheritance rights and offshore tax havens (see the whole of Scotland for a good example). They are simply a means to perpetuate their families' advantages and are so far from being representative that it's laughable. We are supposed to be a democracy:

a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.

Why not have the "lords" based on the total votes in the most recent General election, so if the Tories had 40% of the vote then they would have 40% of the seats etc

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Because then you may as well not have an upper chamber. It is supposed to give checks and balances.

I always ask this with these type of hypotheticals; how could the last few years have gone much worse in terms of government performance? How bad is the made-up alternative to make this current government's performance anything close to acceptable?

We live in a country where next to no public service functions as it should; people are dying waiting for ambulances, no one can get a GP appointment, no one can afford a house, no one can afford food or energy, transport is a disaster, education a disaster, trade is a disaster, economy is f*cked.

And we're still here flapping about a hypothetical Labour government and how they're sure to be worse.

Yes, precisely.

These dyed in the wool Conservatives will, it seems, put up with anything, so long as it isn't the dreaded labour government with all its Marxists, lefties, Communists blah, blah, blah.

All these Sun, Daily Mail, Express -reading: turkeys voting for an early Christmas.

It just makes me laugh on here. Haha.

Ridiculous.

Where is the clarion cry?

'You can't trust the tories on the NHS'.

Looks like it has to be done for you, Sir Keir.

Although I guess it's stating the obvious.

It has now surely become a national emergency.

So on Xmas day there was an incident at home where by I hurt my hand. It swelled up and on 27th I took myself to Maidstone hospital A+E.
Long story short within 2 hours I had 2 visits to X-ray , 2 doctor chats about a fractured finger, finger splints applied and a full hand support, advice about the fracture etc. I parked at 11.30 and at 13.32 I payed for my parking. Then 3 hours later at home I had a call from the fracture clinic with more advice.
Now forgive me for giving it a 10/10 but I reckon this could be the rule even now. It’s just that good service doesn’t command the bashing for the nhs and hmg.
Wasn’t it corbyn who engineered a busy train for a photo opportunity and a bashing up hmg moment.
You then wonder why labour are questioned as a party who could get close to sorting it out!

Oh do you now? Well, that's ok then.

I'm delighted there was a positive outcome for you and it just goes to prove that contrary evidence from countless sources all over the country are wrong and just government - bashing.

It's amazing how propaganda can twist the truth, isn't it?

Not a crisis at all but simple anti-government story-telling.

Well I didn’t need an ambulance, I drove myself. Amazing thing is loads could do the same but choose an easier option. Most people don’t need A+E either or the doctors.
I bet most people who have walked out of hospital complaining about the waiting time have got better or treated themselves. Can you explain why they went in the first place?

When you say no one can get a GP appointment, not sure that is true. I never have to wait more than 1 day. I have food on the table, 2 children with degrees. Not saying this is the general picture but no one! Facts EDN facts

The NHS, not bankers, would be the priority of a labour government.

Always has been, always will be.
