Indeed it appears so but I was just pointing out that, the term no one was wrong.

Whether the blame for the demise of the NHS can be laid at this Governments door is debatable, albeit they have played their part by not sorting an age old problem out.
The NHS has been going to the dogs for 30 years or more.
Selling NHS properties, getting rid of beds, allowing Management to take over and ruin the hospitals - the list is endless.
However, these hospitals and trusts saying they are in a critical condition need to look inwards rather than blame everyone else.
They have been given more money by the sackload year on year for as long as I can remember but like every public service they waste the majority of it.
The fault of this and any other government is allowing that waste to happen without any recourse.
Let's not blame one party or the other because they are all guilty as charged.
People living longer, no care homes for them means beds get blocked so people can't get in; GP's not doing their jobs well enough over the last two years - it is a vicious spiral into something that looks like a third world country's health system - broken and corrupt.
Nothing can be done with the flick of a switch about the situation we are in now but long term the Tories should sit down with Labour and come up with a plan for the next 20 years that both agree to fund and control regardless of who is in power.
It is the only way forward.
As a Conservative I have to say that I am not happy that the PM isn't even talking about it - that is faintly ridiculous and he needs to lead now and do what he can to help even though it will not be enough.
If hospitals don't have beds or enough clinical staff they cannot take sick people in and you can't change that overnight sadly.

Yes, part of Boris's claim that Brexit was 'oven ready', when the shortage it would create in care homes, as EU workers left and went home, was never addressed.

So not 'oven ready' at all. More lies from the beloved Eton Mess.

1. The deal with the EU could have been Oven Ready how ever they have chosen to make it as difficult and bureaucratic as possible. Even Leo Varadaker recognises that. They could establish a trusted trader scheme which would have achieved the same EU goals e.g. protect their markets from cheap goods. Hopefully they will now recognise this.

2. Pre Brexit 3.5m EU citizens in the UK. Post Brexit 5m now have settled status. Many that went home it was due to COVID and lockdown understandably, others because the pound went down against the euro.

We still have plenty of unemployed in this country who choose not work we should not be importing unskilled labour.

We heard all this under the last Labour government.

Have you forgotten?

Nothing you have listed is actually the fault of this Government.

If any government could legislate to resolve any of this stuff easily, don't you think they would?
Remember that during this administration, we have had to adapt after Brexit and face a pandemic. The government is currently paying out vast sums to reduce people's heating bills, having just paid out a fortune in furlough payments.

Do wake up.

What the feck is the point of a government if none of the above?

When you say no one can get a GP appointment, not sure that is true. I never have to wait more than 1 day. I have food on the table, 2 children with degrees. Not saying this is the general picture but no one! Facts EDN facts

It's a turn of phrase, stop being so pathetic.

The data (with a sample size of more than one person) is there for all to see.

That is now what I was saying at all but you managed to make it about Brexit.
There was me being measured and non-political and then as usual.............
There have not been enough care homes built by this or previous Governments on the NHS - simple.
Nothing to do with the EU and lack of workers.
We should probably have 20 more hospitals, 500 NHS care homes and 100,000 clinical staff while reducing management by 50%.
Successive Governments have sat idly by when statisticians will have been forecasting figures for them for 30 years or more.
This is an accident that has been a long time in the making and many politicians of both parties have blood (literally) on their hands!

When I posted about my personal experience you called me a liar and now that someone else has done the same thing he is pathetic according to you.

If you want to know what is pathetic try looking in the mirror

There are, though, plenty of care homes. Just not NHS. They are quite efficient. One after another those that rely on local council funding are going out of business. There is a huge number lying empty.

Sort out the funding, sort out the staffing. Focus on the major levers. And I don’t blame the councils, they have been denuded of central government funding which should be ringfenced.

And the need to reduce management is a vicious myth. Do some research.

Blimey, you're a very sensitive sole - I didn't call you a liar, but you apparently have real insecurity about that.

He didn't call me a liar or anything close to that.

I'm not surprised you were such a disaster as a moderator, you act like a child.

Some people only see, or care to see, that which directly affects them. Even when the overall picture clearly is very different and can be fact checked easily.
