So much complacency.
It’s all well & good talking about the performance but once again no points & no goals and 2 more home defeats this week.
People need to get their hands out of the sand. This team & squad needs serious strengthening but sadly Mr Parish doesn’t appear to see it like that. We are only a couple more losses or so away before we are in serious jeopardy. Our next 8 games are very difficult & we probably need 5 or 6 wins yet.
Where is the next point coming from ??

Why? Why Jeffrey Schlupp? He does one thing well, running at the goal and shooting. He can't pass, he loses his man, appears lazy at times. After Hughes' performance in the cup (one of the only positives in that sh#t show) he is inexplicably dropped again. He comes off the bench and suddenly we're more aggressive and pushing Chelsea.

Other than that, after a fairly even first half it was clear in the second half we needed a focus up top but that didn't come until we were 1-0 down. If Vieira doesn't trust Edouard or Mateya then sell or loan one of them and bring someone else in. Zaha is not a striker and for all his hard work Ayew doesn't score.

Olise and Guiata stood out in amongst some average performances. We weren't awful but we need more. The only hope for Wednesday is United eat some dodgy fish for the in-flight meal.

We have recognised strikers in Eduoard and Mateta who do not start any more.We have Ayew who has scored 5 goals in about 112 apps in all competitions.
We play Zaha as a striker when he is best suited to a wide left role.
We have Eze who is a 'Luxury player' who is providing precious little at present.Olise can providing telling crosses but there is no striker who can capitalise on his delivery.
A dearth of guile and creativity in the midfield 'Engine room'.
No wonder that we have not scored in 4 out of our last 5 PL games and only scored 1 away goal in the second half in the PL.

With the challenging fixtures to come we will be on that 'Slippery slope' down the table.

I have been out so saw or heard nothing of the game.
I do see though that he played without a centre forward again!
It hasn't worked and continues not to.
That is on the Manager who will not learn from his mistakes.
He needs to man up or leave

PV was not wearing his CPFC bench coat - perhaps he handed it in prior to the game !!

The performance was ok today, but it's another game without a goal from us.
We've only managed to score in one of our last five league games.
Can anybody honestly say this way of playing will produce goals on a regular basis?
Even the game we scored in, both goals were created from set pieces rather than in open play and in fairness were due to terrible defending from Bournemouth which would be unlikely to occur with other Premier League clubs we face.
I'm not being negative but just looking at the facts.
We need to create more and be more clinical and I'm not sure I can see this happening with our current playing methods.

I wish I could understand wtf is going on at Selhurst. We all know we need new signings but what’s the point when PV doesn’t play most of the later signings, ie, Edouard, Mateta, Hughes, Richards, Johnstone.
Why waste money on new signings if you’re not going to play them, or is our scouting director a very poor judge of a player?
So a polite message for SP, DF, and PV. Please start doing your jobs properly, as you’re just sleep walking us into The Championship.

Absolutely agree. Something is wrong when we play Ayew at centre week after week while we have 2 strikers on the bench. He’s the definition of a false 9! It’s as if Edouard’s goals against Spurs last season have convinced PV he’s a guy to have on the bench and bring on when you need a goal late on. At Celtic he was a player who got better with games under his belt. He’s better on the left so won’t get a game there while Wilf is at the club. We bought a young centre half who supposedly can play at right back but he can’t get a game even when Anderson goes off and Clyne is on his last legs! PV must be on borrowed time. If I hear “we played well but need to be more clinical in the final third@ once more I’ll take to the drink!

It was generally a good performance today, I don't think PV can do much more with what he has.

We so desperately need reinforcements if we're going to progress. I look at that squad today and my first thought it Schlupp and Ayew clearly shouldn't be starting for us most weeks. I'm not convinced anybody on our bench would start for any other side in the division, so they're not going to threaten our first team.

Doucoure is an absolute star but simply can't do it all by himself. He's first in our squad for tackles (2.7 per game), interceptions (1.9), third for number of passes, second for pass completion % etc. Basically he's doing it all and deserves someone better alongside him.

We hear the same old thing about how January is a difficult month, yet other clubs are signing players. So far this window 12 other clubs have already brought in a loan or permanent signing.

At the very, very minimum we need to be using loans just to see us through the season because, on current form and with the horrendous run of fixtures ahead, we're sleepwalking into a relegation battle.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Precisely what I was just thinking.
The PL is a giant self perpetuating sponge, soaking up a mug chairman's money - not got any? then ta-ta. Parish has created a team on high wages where competition is minimal and comfort zone complacency is easy to come by. Palace, the gravy train club that is coming to the end of the line.

I wouldnt say eddie was a recognised striker more of an inside forward which leaves only Mateta who was a hopeful on the cheap purchase that hasn't worked out .Its a position we have been weak in since Benteke went off the boil . We just dont have anyone that plays the centre forward role with any conviction which any team not playing Pepe false 9 nonsense ( he has now seen the error of his ways ) desperately needs . Even Manure have aquired a bloke Burnley for whatever reason couldnt keep hold of to play the role . We need to get one in the next two weeks

And we still need a striker
