The Spirit, the backs to the wall, the underdog spirit, the aggression and no respect for the opposition, the swagger, that we can beat anyone, highlighted by Puncheon, Delaney, Ramage, Derry and many others has been dismantled to a group who apart from Wilf, who has given up, dont really care, we need that spirit back, we still had a bit of it under Roy, we now have lost our Identity.

We are a vastly different club than the one that got promoted... Parish said we wouldn't lose our core value.. We've lost our way, that is for sure... The decline really set in towards Roy's end.. the captain's arm band was a huge one for me Milo just didn't have what was needed, him coming on as sub and then getting it handed to him showed me what I needed to know. I appreciate a cool, calm manager is sometimes seen as an asset, I don't... I want blood vessels bursting on the touchline when the performances need it.. the club is to comfortable to coast long.

PV said in his post-match comments “there was a challenging atmosphere at the club before the game”. Well if it’s challenging now what’s it going to be like after the games that are coming up? Can only read into this that the players & others at the club know we’re in trouble.

The team has returned from the World Cup break like a bunch of scared rabbits in car headlights. What on Earth were they doing for those two months, or perhaps more likely, what weren't they doing that everyone else was?

We have only beaten 6 of the bottom 7 teams. 4 draws and 8 defeats against everyone better. We can’t do anything against other the worst teams in the PL. The players know this and seem resigned to it. Since the World Cup we haven’t played any weaker teams and won’t do til April.

Question now is who will be brought in in March to save the club from relegation - Hodgson, Pulis or Allardyce or other - answers on a postcard.

I keep saying it & it’s so obvious - the team does not have a stand out motivating leader - No Geoff Thomas ,No Mile Jedinak - we need to get a leader in that damn group of players The heads are down the passion is withering for weeks, the skills of a striker never there ,Wilf will be gone - Parish Freedman damn well get a scoring striker , a leading midfielder to partner Decoure & a right back When will the board see a big stadium a A1 academy is Priority 2 We have so many that are just not Prem but Pat has such a limited choice

you have it in a nutshell Lanzo. Our lack of respect was what i loved the most in those days , we didnt care who the f*** they thought they were or how entitled they were we showed no fear. Personally i think its down to recruitment , we didnt just go out and buy lads that are half good with potential , we bought ( and i remember Parish saying it at the time and wondered WTF he was going on about) we dont just want players that want a paycheque we want players that want to be in and fit the DNA of our club . We had great players , we had tough b******s in midfield like the Jedi and after him Luka, we had our flair players Bolasie and Wilf creative players Cabye Puncheon, defenders that were like brick walls like Delaney Ward and many more that didnt give a toss about what car they were driving or their hair , they played with a love for the club and crowd. We played with an arrogance , you might get passed me once but you wont get another chance . I miss it i want it back . We are too predictable now !! Bolasie even said it himself " i dont even know what im gonna do when i get the ball " We also had the lightning counter attack . We could turn a corner against us into a goal the other end in 5 seconds . We have lost our way and the DNA .
