Appropriate word to describe some of my high-grade waffle on HOL !!!

I think I join you in that bracket if you perceive yourself to be described as such Willo... hence my recommending it for others and not employing it myself!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Well we don't have a midfield and it seems PV doesn't think we have any strikers so why not?

Rocket science it isn’t. Last season we had Gallagher, Kouyate and Macca. All that needs doing for us to limp through is Doucoure, Luka (perhaps Reidewald) and Hughes in the middle. And then two of Zaha, Eze and Olise either side and either Matteta or Edouard up front. PV is the problem as he doesn’t see it that way :-(

I actually agree must say.

Doucoure, Hughes and Luka in the middle isn't fantastic but I'd suggest more solid. I'd introduce Eze at junctures or in games we expect to dominate or win.

Zaha left, Olise right and by now PV and co should know who's best to start up front out of OE and JPM. I'm inclined to lean towards OE but would depend on the game.

Utd are playing well, this should be a Utd win on paper so we should treat it as a bit of a free hit. surely we have to start with a striker sometime soon.

Guita

Clyne Andersen Guehi Mitchell

Doucoure Hughes

Olise Eze Wilf

JPM

(Was a little conflicted about Eze, think he has been poor of late. So would be happy either with another CM, or another CF in his place)

Yes that is what i was thinking if not JPM , Ed will do pity we cant drop Guiata i have lost total faith in him over the last 2 seasons cant deal with crosses or kick

If PV dosent change his tactics and is still in the Job at the end of the season, we will be relegated, simple as that, i dont like the tippy-tappy, nicey-nicey, after you Claude, rubbish we play, get it forward, Strength, Aggression, Pacey, well organised counter attack football,
************Guaita***********
Clyne*Andersen*Guehi*Mitchell
****Doucoure*Luka*Hughes*****
Olise*********************Eze
************Mateta***********

Loan in for Luka, Loan in for Mateta

Get it Forward Quicky, counter attack

I noticed it didn't really work with Wilf up front. Then I noticed that it worked even less with Edouard and Mateta (did they even touch the ball?). So it's quite a conundrum.

'The lesser of three evils' it may well be.

Personally, I would like to have seen Edouard drilled to become an out and out centre forward - Has good feet and can drop/link up play but certainly knows how to put the ball in the back of the net... provided he's in the right positions and focused upon doing so.

Weaknesses include not great in air/as a target man or really taking people on though he can do this to a certain extent. I think trying to utilise him to play all across the front three does make some sense however I think it dilutes his abilities and identity rather than enhancing that he does have. Without a first choice striker I'd concentrate on moulding him as such.
