I certainly did enjoy the result, just thought his reaction to the worldly was strange? Cant see how any of my previous quote relates to making up a story though, others have done that...

The only change I’d make for Saturdays game is replace Mateta with Schlupp or Ayew.

The beatings will stop when morale improves.

Richards and Hughes were positive inclusions in the side no doubt about it. The whole team showed great desire despite the difference in class between the teams determination carried us through to gain a well deserved point.COYP

Great hard-fought performance and deserved point. But they’ve really got to sort out the communication at the back. Could have thrown it away at the end.

Really, really pleased after that. Yes there was a gulf in class and we got a couple of lucky breaks but our commitment and effort was so much better and so much easier to be proud of.

Very happy for Hughes and Richards who I thought had very solid games. Hughes for me represents everything we've been missing recently. It's no surprise that him and Decoure got subbed as they ran their socks off but it does highlight the lack in strength when we replace them. Although fairplay to Schlupp he did ok and won that all important freekick.

Now that freekick, what a STRIKE. Olise didn't have his best game but that was absolute quality.

Now to rest up for Newcastle and the other tough games that are coming up.

For me Hughes epitomised what was different tonight; he misplaced passes but he was everywhere and showed such a fight that's been missing - the clear MOTM for me. Strangely I thought Olise was not at his best, but an amazing free-kick. Richards had a solid full PL debut. Given United's form and the fact they had an extra day to recover points to what a result this was. Hopefully we can now tarnish Newcastle's record

Huge well done to the team and Vieira.

Made such a difference. Hopefully that's him cemented his place now. Best palace player easily tonight - and that's with a couple of misplaced passes. He was a 6/10 tonight and still shone. Imagine what a player he could be when he gets regular time. An 8 / 10 Hughes performance will be awesome.

I love it when we get something against Man Ure.

Thought we largely bossed the second half despite the biased commentary.

Richard’s definitely got a foot on the ball.

Casemiro could have been off for his knee high challenge on Wilf. He would have been but for Zaha’s need to roll tackles to avoid injury.

Who was this ref? Surely given the history between the teams, cup finals, Cantona etc. a more experienced ref should have been in charge.

Hughes should be played alongside Doucoure in all games against top 10 teams. Thought he was great tonight.

Great goal by Olise but . . . He makes so many mistakes.

Welcome return to form by Mitchell.

Don’t believe you can play Mateta and Odouard together

But . . . Happy to be shot down in flames by those who saw the game differently

Agreed. Looked like Richards got a touch. VAR we’re never going to overturn the refs decision on that one whichever way it had gone. Clear and obvious? Redknapp is as big a clown as his old man! VAR might have asked the ref to look at Fernandez nasty studs high tackle or even Casemiro’s knee high lunge!

We had more shots on target than they had and their keeper made 2 great saves. We were good for a point and Hughes was MOTM.

And on the flip side with a little more precision on the passing could have won it at the end.

Agree with your comments. So happy to get that equaliser and go home happy :-) Other than the goal I was disappointed with Olise tonight. So many bad passes and I thought his commitment was questionable at times. Perhaps some of how he played was in the role given to him by PV. I couldn’t work out what position he was playing in tonight as he seemed lost and all over the place at times? In truth he wasn’t the only culprit with his bad passing but we thankfully got away with it. The fighting performance deserved that point which I certainly wasn’t expecting :-)
