What the minority with the banner forget is that it's Mr Textor's money that paid for the likes of Olise, Guehi, Andersson, Gallager loan in the summer of 2021 when there were all the players out of contract.
They were also the same minority that demonstrated outside the training ground live on Sky on a transfer deadline day, complaining about Sky's influence on football. Well again guys it's Sky's money that has allowed Palace to stay in the Premiership for 10 years !!

This is a complete non-issue. Parish may very well want to be chairman for life, but he owns a tiny minority share and he has no say in the matter at all. He's kept the role as CEO simply because he's persuaded Harris and Blitzer that he's the best man for the job. If they sell their shares and thus sell the club, the new owner of Palace would be under no obligation whatsoever to retain Parish as CEO. As I said, this is simply not an issue.

It sounds from Textor's interview and statement about transfer targets (and "talent" that his main interest is making money from moving players. So testing players from France, Brazil and Belgium in the moneybags Premier League and getting some money back from the ones that come good ? Maybe dangling Champions League football at OL ?

Despite all the talk about percentage of ownership it's clear that the choice for us (in our heads) as fans is Steve Parish, academy and a club with local identity with occasional promotion to the Premier League (for however long it exists). Or a sugar daddy and corporate presence in the Premier League for longer but our fans turning into an entitled group who expect to win.

IMHO Parish is now milking the club as his main source of income.

He constantly seeks the lime light on TV and in the media.

He is not a football expert and should be hands off.

2010 is history now.

He has said many times words to the effect that he would only sell shares of the club to parties with the club's long term interests at heart. In reality has sold to parties who have let him keep control and income.

I am grateful to CPFC 2010 as a group , we are now in a different era.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I agree with your second and third points and have said so on many occasions but I'm not so sure about the first.

Whilst Parish does seem to take an enormous salary I'm sure that he puts most of it back into the company in the form of loans which I have always thought to be a silly idea.

Say he draws £1.5m. He will pay tax on that of £675,000 leaving £825,000 which is loaned to the club which to my mind is not very cost effective at all but is done to pretend to be injecting funds to match that of the wealthier shareholders.

Perhaps if I am wrong one of HOL's accountants could correct me

SP said at the time that the 2010 consortium was formed & took on the club, they didnt want to own the club, they were fans, they left it to the last minute in the hope that someone else would step in, only when it became apparent that no one else was waiting in the wings to save the club did they come forward -

SP Salary seems to upset people, for how many years after the takeover didn't he draw any salary ? (I think it was 4 years but I am ready to stand corrected) at least his salary is published in the accounts -

CEO for life, I have heard SP say several times that he is currently the custodian of the position, if the right investment comes along & that new investment can take the club forward he will step aside -

Financially astute - whilst it would be nice to see new players etc, as Syd points out its not easy to know whats going on in the boardroom, but I think SP is doing his best to keep the club on an even keel whilst walking that tightrope to keep us in the PL, at the moment we dont have surplus money to go forward at full steam & what happens when super league comes along & we are not included, Palace will be in the second tier, no one knows how that money tree will shake down, how many multi million pound transfers can we take on the books without being vulnerable to any new league payment structure (with TV money being negotiated to new levels because they want to show Super League as a premium product) or some other as yet unrecognised disruptive element (Covid style or) ?

SP has been cautious & IMHO quite rightly so, it would be easy to over reach in the hope of jam tomorrow -

The football pyramid is a difficult path to navigate, many clubs are envious of our financial position & place in the league - how it pans out with the current shareholders remains to be seen but to those that are spouting about SP stepping aside & letting someone else run the ship, who exactly are they talking about instilling in his place ?
