Crystal Palace vs Newcastle Utd - Match Thread

Richards having another good game. So that's a positive. Other than that it's hard to make a case for anyone else. Possibly they're tired, but they're professional athletes and it's only half-time, so it's not really an excuse. Newcastle the better team, but I hate what they stand for now so somehow I just hope we find a way of spoiling their run. Let's be honest, Guehi is lucky to be on the pitch, but that's the ref's fault as he has been so inconsistent with his cards - do refs only book Palace players now? He shouldn't have given a yellow for the first (or as he did he should have also booked Trippier and Bruno). Also, why didn't VAR at least look at the Wilf incident? The replay clearly shows Trippier is pulling his arm. I think the ref has just been poor rather than biased, but it does feel like things aren't going our way with decisions in recent times.

If ever a game needed a goal to give it a bit of motivation... and at this stage I don't really care who scores it! although I would prefer it to be us A stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell give some indication of expected traffic numbers
