Speaking of doughnuts, Vieira and Roberts should set up a doughnut stall on the halfway line, the opposition won't get past that

The Eagles have now secured 13 points from losing positions in the Premier League this season, only Tottenham Hotspur with 14 have recovered more.

From tonight’s match report

Shows some spirit!

The icing on the cake could of at least been a smile from Olise when he scored what was a superb goal, and not a reaction usually displayed by a player who used to play for that opposition. Peculiar.

Bring back Brolin

Nothing at all wrong with the spirit. 2 very gutsy draws in a week. The problem is, everyone is spending vast sums of money to strengthen and we aren’t.

Agreed, the spirit is fine, it’s the quality that’s lacking.

2 points against 2 sides in excellent form and heading for the Champions League and the Spirit question is posed... what!

True, a week ago we were going to get battered about severely.
A close loss to Chelsea which should have been a draw, and a point each against two top 4 teams. All the others have to play them. Not many will only concede two goals and get 2 points from those 3 games.

Think there's nothing wrong with the spirit, but the team selection is beyond belief. When I saw the line-up against Newcastle I thought it was a prank.
How could the manager install Ward, Ayew and Schlupp after 1-1 midweek when Hughes, Olise and Clyne were among our best players?
What is going on with Vieira and Schlupp? Is the boss paid extra money for picking Schlupp to start?
All in all, I am more and more losing respect for the manager who himself was a tremendous player, but.....

We only had two days rest after a difficult game Wednesday. They had a whole week to prepare. PV knew players would tire & that he would have to use all our subs and presumably held Hughes back for the latter stages when we would be really tested by them. Which is exactly what happens. I’m happy PV is the manager.

By which stage we could have been several goals down
