We matched them for a fraction of the price.

I was hoping for a lucky break but no, and the ref was a p***k.

David Ozone-layer what a day for him.

In the final analysis I suppose a point against high-flying Newcastle is not a bad result however the performance left a lot to be desired.Very disappointing.
Newcastle went into the game on the back of only 1 goal in their last 3 PL games and thankfully missed some good chances.

I give credit to Chris Richards who was assured once again and was my Palace 'Man of the match'.Credit too goes to Marc Guehi.

Tough game. Forgive me for going all Graeme Souness here but you can play whatever formation you like but if you are second to the ball, lose most of the physical challenges and don’t pass accurately you’ll struggle. Newcastle are a big physical team, that ironically dive about when touched, who are very difficult to play against. I think that’s why Schlupp started he doesn’t shirk the physical stuff.
Hard to judge Eze , Zaha and Eddy on that one as we just couldn’t get quality ball to them and they were very well closed down. Newcastle spent a large part of the game coming down our right so Ayew was very involved and Ward had a torrid time.
Some very frustrating moments with players having space to run onto but continually passing back. Ayew can be so frustrating and then so good, the last 15 or so here he suddenly started to go forwards and we looked great.
It was crying out for Hughes to add accuracy to our midfield and Mateta to give some back to their monster backs. Great shot from Mateta, hopefully he and Eddy can build on getting some time.
Not sure about the 433 comments it seems more of a 4231 to me.

A few Geordies were relieved to escape with a point, as were I tbh.

Just me, or is our passing worse than ever today?

Wat did you expect with a team of Ward, Schlupp and Ayew in it?

Agree entirely. Always play 442 unless there is a good reason not to. We have four wingers. 442 is a given.

Please can we spend some money? Yes, I know it will not be mine. Why are we always SO BORING in the transfer window?

Remember when we signed Édouard? That was pretty exciting

It probably still would be if we played to his strengths

they can't walk the talk!

Olise, Wilf and Ayew want the ball at their feet, they dont make runs, Edouard and Mateta must have been taking Statue lessons from Benteke

I disagree. Our strikers are feeding off scraps. No service at all. Mateta had one sniff today and pope pulled off a great save. The same can be said for Odsonne the other night where he had one half chance and De Gea pulls off a worldy.

As much as people go one about Zaha, Eze and Olise they basically create bugger all.

They have to run round defences which his hard.

At man City everyone down to the lad who cleans the boots can put in a killer pass to a striker. We have noone.
