Well it firstly shows the suggestion that the failure of our economy to recover to pre-pandemic levels is linked to spending in healthcare is incorrect.

It also shows that this latest myth that we spend ridiculous amounts on healthcare and we can't keep increasing the funding is a nonsense - we don't spend as much as comparable countries.

I have not suggested any link between NHS spending and size of the economy.

The percentage of tax revenue we spend on the NHS has never been higher.

Do you accept that we have an ageing population and the cost of treatment is totally different to 70 odd years ago when the NHS
was created.

Do you accept the NHS would benefit from a thorough review and improve things such as procurement for example.

If you think that all is rosy and more money is the only thing needed then not much point in having a discussion

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

No, but you weighed in on an exchanged about exactly that topic.

Of course I accept those things (I don't get why people love to debate in pure reductionist statements), but it also does not change the reality that we invest less money than our counterparts in healthcare, and that is a huge factor in why it's so much worse in outcome.

And despite the clearly deliberate effort to muddy that water and move the narrative onto efficiency and procurement and whatever else (of which there are clearly valid complaints and concerns), it does not change the financial reality that we are spending less. An ageing population is certainly not something unique to us as a country.

The NHS gets a ton of money and wastes way too much of it on bureaucracy failing IT and agency staff ( I get that they have no option but to use them by the way)amongst other things.
The NHS bosses should be held accountable for not being able to run their Trusts properly.
If they did run them properly the clinical staff would get more money and training could be free.
The system is nuts as well as broken.

Don’t forget the money wasted on diversity officers

I don't mean it rudely, but I find these exchanges utterly pointless - if you don't consider the country I live in getting poorer as something which 'affects me directly' I'm not sure what to tell you.

There's a whole exchange above about how our economic performance is worse than what is being seen elsewhere in the world, and you just go straight past it and continue with 'not Brexit driven'.

Why do we need diversity officers? I thought we lived in a multi-cultural utopia where diversity is an unmitigated blessing and everyone gets along famously.

Apparently there are 10,000 equity, diversity and inclusion officers in the public sector at a cost to the taxpayer of £557 million a year.

It's quite incredible.

'Make busy' anti white jobs for progressives, enabled by the cuck right, thanks to Cameron and May.

Literally throwing money down the drain.

When this country remembers its balls these jobs are for the birds.

Why do you consider someone explaining their point of view/ offering experience on a topic to be 'lecturing'?

You 'lecture' about border force issues often... because you're clearly knowledgeable in that area - why do you have such an issue with other people doing the same? Do you ever think you might be able to learn something from reading an alternative point of view? I've certainly learned things from your border force contributions.

It just seems a very strange accusation on a website made for people to exchange ideas and debate.
