Errrrr....nope. I don't think a parallel universe exists where I regret not voting for Corbyn. That's like regretting that you didn't shag the ugly fat bird from the nightclub because you had to leave early for work in the morning. Levelling up anyone? Nobody seriously thinks it is anything other than a political slogan. The regions are not much more than beggars at a rich mans table. The German system much mooted where regional equality is built into the system, was actually the allies after WW2 who did not want central power to be in Berlin. It has been floated here but never really been of much interest to voters, now it appears imperative. Starmers plan to devolve power to communities is timely and constructive.

Sir Rod Stewart has called on the Tories to stand aside and hand power to Labour, saying he has “never seen” Britain in such a bad state. He 'wears it well', but he'd 'rather go blind' than have any more of the tories.

Absolutely I disagree with appointing Mayors - yes abolish them. We should abolish as many layers of government that we can, along with such nonsense as Police Commissioners.
