Imagine how much better a Corbyn society would have been.

I cant think of any area where it would not have been better.

Obviously the NHS would have been fully funded for starters.

Britain's voters may be full of regrets but it's their own fault.

Errrrr....nope.

I don't think a parallel universe exists where I regret not voting for Corbyn.

That's like regretting that you didn't shag the ugly fat bird from the nightclub because you had to leave early for work in the morning.

Yeah, these Tories aren't actually Tories but that doesn't mean people should regret not voting commie.

On this we can agree, there is no doubt that better systems would help massively.

The NHS launched its National Program for IT (NPfIT) in 2002. Behind it were some of the industry’s most illustrious players, including Accenture, Fujitsu, and CSC. Its failure became obvious nine years later.

Given the scale, the planning proved too weak, it focused too much on low cost and not enough on client satisfaction, the NHS did not have strong enough project leadership (especially related to change management) and insufficient stakeholder engagement. This was a big set back and a great deal of wasted money.

There is now a new digital care services model that allows NHS care providers and commissioners to source digital tools and systems from a buying catalogue. Hopefully over time this will work better.

I posted on this. I believe it was attempted on too large a scale too quickly.
Amalgamating hundreds of ‘trusts’ at once was just stupid. They should have worked zone by zone then slowly linked the zones. I never found blame for this 10 billion but wished they had been more pragmatic and it would have worked.

Levelling up anyone?

Nobody seriously thinks it is anything other than a political slogan.

The regions are not much more than beggars at a rich mans table.

The German system much mooted where regional equality is built into the system, was actually the allies after WW2 who did not want central power to be in Berlin.

It has been floated here but never really been of much interest to voters, now it appears imperative.

Starmers plan to devolve power to communities is timely and constructive.

Yes, that's just what we need, yet more layers of government that can tax us and squander the proceeds.

Sometimes recruitment goes wrong. Part of the art of management is to recognise that and deal with it. Which did happen in O’Mara’s case I believe. Suspended and then ‘encouraged’ to quit the party.

On the contrary, he no doubt ticked all the boxes.

Sir Rod Stewart has called on the Tories to stand aside and hand power to Labour, saying he has “never seen” Britain in such a bad state.

He 'wears it well', but he'd 'rather go blind' than have any more of the tories.

What the hell does that mean? He was recruited to a role, according to a process. Even the best of processes does not have zero error. Whether or not the process in use for his selection was the best it could have been I don't know. Would you argue that selection processes for other parties are better? Now let me see, how many Tories have been forced to resign due to sleaze and how many Labour MPs...

As mistakes will happen, it is how you then deal with them that counts, in any organisation.

I don't think it means more layers, simply using what is in place better. So you disagree with the Conservative policy to put in place Mayors in places like Croydon then? Useless eejit that we got.

Stop Press:-

Jeremy Hunt says ministers committed to HS2 running 'all the way to Euston'.

Fantastic.

What I mean, it that he was just the sort of person the Labour party wants as an MP.

Absolutely I disagree with appointing Mayors - yes abolish them. We should abolish as many layers of government that we can, along with such nonsense as Police Commissioners.

Right. So just leave the Government in place then. Because that works so very well.
