But from my perspective, I'd much rather play the kid, accepting the mistakes (which will inevitably come) vs papering over the cracks with Jeff. Or (and I hate saying this as he's been sorely missed) Macca, who's best days are behind him.

Stuttgart have played a league game since his sending off so he should be fine to play should Vieira choose to use him on Saturday (although I would expect him to be on the bench and unlikely to come on).

It will depend on what system Vieira chooses to use in the upcoming difficult fixtures. I'm inclined to the view that he recognizes that 433 won't work against the better teams and may stick with the 4231 he employed recently.

It will depend on what system Vieira chooses to use in the upcoming difficult fixtures. I'm inclined to the view that he recognizes that 433 won't work against the better teams and may stick with the 4231 he employed recently.
