And so it starts. Dyche has already changed Everton, that didn’t take long. So they are probably one to discount going down!

Stability is what we need... so many scoffed at us going for SD. I would take him over PV.

A club like us, need a manager like him.

Well you get what you deserve - compete on the cheap & don’t strengthen the positions where there are weaknesses, relegation remains a real possibility. Sadly, cannot see a win against the seaweed.

It’s an interesting point.
Dyche immediately made them competitive by playing three solid hard working midfield players, putting players in their correct positions and being a threat from set pieces.
No square pegs in round holes or over complicating of the game.

We need to start picking up points of confidence will erode and we will get caught up in a struggle.
For me this means in the near term no Eze or Olise and a competitive and mobile midfield who can get in the penalty area and hopefully make and take chances.
We may be not particularly enamoured of Edouard or Mateta as striker options, but that is all we have , so get players closer to them up the pitch to try and force the issue.
If by some chance McArthur can feature I think that will also be a big help.

It's actually an interesting set of fixtures coming up

Brighton - in normal circumstances Brighton would win, but derbies can upset the form book. We are at home and we must be up for it otherwise forget it

Brentford - this is probably the hardest fixture. Neither side is yet win a PL game against each other - draw then ?

Aston Villa - is the Emery effect over ? Beaten 4-2 at home today by Leicester.

Liverpool - they are a shambles at present. Not as impossible as it used to have been

Maybe upto 6 points there.

We can write off the City and Arsenal games though, massive bonus if we got even 1 point from those games.

With over half of this season's games played we are 12th. At what point do you think Parish is going to call Vieira in for a chat with a "do better or you're out" ultimatum?

Parish won't as he is quite happy. As far as he was concerned we only needed a couple of players in the window.
He's only interested in the academy - ideal for when we go down this season, and it could well happen.
He sits in charge, arrogant and complacent, just like a good number within the fanbase, with the club trying to compete on the cheap.
The club will not develop until we have members of the board prepared to invest properly at this level.

i think the time has nearly gone, Dyche would have been perfect, the team i watched today were a unmotivated, unorganized shambles and could easily have been 4 down, i dont recognize this as a Crystal Palace team. the board are sleepwalking into relegation.

Quite right, it's unbelievably ridiculous to even think about.

We haven’t won in seven games against PL opponents and I can’t even recall our last goal from open play.

I’m not particularly ‘PV’ out but this is very poor. I’m sincerely hoping, of course, for a turn around in results and form but I don’t think it hysterical to suggest the beginning of an extremely bad run could have passed if things don’t change soon. We could start falling quickly and something would have to change so it’s not the most outrageous of thoughts. At the very least, whether you back PV or are as anti as Lanza seems to be, it is football at the end of the day and these things happen. Happened to PV at Nice did it not?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
