Where did I say or suggest that I was either a tory or labour supporter. You are the one with the party issues. I merely pointed out that the party in control are absolutely incompetent and couldn’t understand how you could possibly support them in any way. It just so happens they are labour.

You talk about a lack of intelligence on here but you are the one who appears to have pigeon holed everyone into political parties. I couldn’t give a damn which party they are in if they can resolve the problems.The current shambles in control clearly cannot.

I also fail to comprehend what you don’t understand by “I don’t care what has gone on in the past” (which was a nod to previous tenures of both parties). It’s a simple statement that those currently in office should be trying to turn it around not drive it further into the ground whilst blaming previous tenures for all their problems. It’s really not that difficult to understand.

Also, rather obviously, I understand what you meant. That’s why I stated what you said was utterly illogical in the context of a debate about why the council is having to hike tax by 15% (clue, there are multiple factors, of which Labour is undeniably the most significant one. But their tenure is not the only significantly contributing FACTOR, nor is it the only reason). Equally, one would have thought that fact would not be particularly hard to grasp.

If you’d actually read back through the thread first rather than constantly firing from the hip you’d be able to respond within the right context of the discussion.

Do you even live anywhere near, let alone in Croydon? This issue affects me and others I know directly. Along with the fact I know a current (Tory) council member well I’m yet to hear anything particularly reasonable or well informed on this topic from most.

I too live in Purley which is part of Croydon and I agree with what you say. I am not looking forward to a 15% increase but the other option is the Government putting their hands in their pockets and that will not happen.

According to this which is a few years out of date and of course is politically bias Bromley is nearly at the bottom with regard to government funding in London.

Each year I get a leaflet from the council complaining about this I will keep an eye out in March perhaps we can compare figures with Croydon.

There is always an element of spin as some councils receive other types of grants which they may or may not include.
