I agree with Khan London is much safer since he's been in power. Safer that is if you are a mugger/rapist/robber/thief/ knife crime etc. You are far less likely to be caught.

If you are a criminal vote Khan you know it makes sense.

Questionable figures from eight years ago.

And the Met Chief blames tory cuts on the increase in crime.

Tories are in power and crime is their weakest spot, compared to Labour's successful tough on crime and its causes policies.

Hopefully these will be revived if Labour win the next election.

well life is a lot safer now for a lot of traditional Palace fans.

Huge numbers of us have exited the Capital. Off to live somewhere less stabby.

Red Ken Livingston, from West Norwood , couldnt remember the name of the Palace stadium. And Sadiq Khan from Tooting supports Liverpool FC.

we really get some shyte Mayors, nightmare, shyte-Mayor

Nothing to do with Khan's policing policies or the Met's recruitment policy "Rapist no problem just sign up here".

The recent increase in knife crime in London has very little to do with Mr Khan, or his predecessor, because the mayor has no influence over police funding or deployment.

The fact that the current shower of s***s we call our government has cut 20,000 police personnel and their funding, is the real issue here. They have promised to recruit 20,000 more police officers, and they're acting like they're doing us a favour in correcting their crass cock up.

But some people just want a chance to have a pop at a prominent Muslim, to point out his faults and flaws, even if they're not his, and they’re happy to do so without fact checking, or dishonest enough to check the facts and repeat the lies anyway.

Sadiq Khan is not responsible for the increase in crime, the Tories are.

'Tough on crime and its causes' - bring back Labour.

i suggest a protest candidate for a protest-vote. Change your name, by deed poll, to Gengis Khan. Then stand election against the other fella.......

Sadiq Khan
or
Gengis Khan

who would be better for the welfare of all Londoners ? especially regarding the protection of our youth, all our boys & girls.

one of them will get marauding masses of armed horsemen through the centre of London, the other speaks Mongolian.

one of them f...cked half their Empire metaphorically, the other did so literally.

No, numbers increased 2003-10 to 172,000, then decreased 2011 to 2019 and have recovered to around your figure.

But that's no increase throughout the tory years when the level of crime has increased substantially.

Khan's self serving tenure as mayor is indefensible, not a hill to die on. It's difficult for idealogues such as yourself when the facts don't support your beliefs.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I'm afraid Steely that if you look into the past and Police numbers as a percentage of population we had far far lower crime and less Police.

The cultural change from a socially conservative culture to a liberal one and lower trust in society created by immigration has resulted in a situation where Police numbers are ridiculously high compared to the past because crime has risen to a similarly ridiculously high level.

You point at Police numbers! I put it to you that the society your approved politics creates has required an ever higher need for them. Just look at Police numbers in areas where diversity is high and compare the crime rate with areas where diversity is very low....Cornwall might be a useful comparison.

I put it to you Steely that you point at the symptoms but not the disease.

As for crime and Khan, he argued to end stop and search and created a culture within the Met that is scared to enforce crackdowns because of the 'racism' chorus from his administration. It's no different to why Islamic gangs were allowed to rape mainly white and some Sikh girls for decades with only the lightest of Police or social services interest.

If you are genuinely interested in lower crime perhaps you should recognise the real problems behind its increase.
