No I meant players full stop. That are tearing it up. Guaita, Anderson, Guehi, Doucoure, Olise, Wilf.

Of course, but I was referring to the youth system and the over praise some are getting when they haven't even kicked a ball in a PL game let alone stood out in said game.

As I said when they can do it in the PL they will get my praise until then are just hopefuls.

I have watched a lot of Rak Saki this season and have Charlton mates, he has talent but no way is he ready for the PL next season despite what some say. The smart move would be to loan him to a Championship club and if he is performing bring him back in January.

I have watched Malcolm Ebiowei pre season and so far he has done nothing to suggest he is ready. I am not saying he wont make it but I doubt PV is even thinking about him at the moment.

Seems to be the way we've handled Ebiowei has been entirely sensible. We knew he was young and talented, but not ready. We bedded him in and got to know his strengths and weaknesses by exposing him to the first-team squad for six months, putting him on the bench to let him experience what the PL was about while knowing he wasn't ready for it yet. Then, with the confidence and sense of belonging got from that period, we sent him out on loan to start getting decent-level games under his belt. Exactly the way to handle and improve a young talent. Ebiowei must be delighted to have arrived at a club who knows how to develop a young players future in the PL.

good post - also was injured when he first went out on loan so missed first couple of games and now on the bench. Guessing the Hull manager is easing him back.
Hopefully will start a few games soon.
Looked a little out of his depth when he came on at Forest so a loan seems a sensible move for all parties

If I were Wilf and the Saudis offered say £15m p.a. for 4 years tax free, e.g. quadruple his current earnings, I would go.
I would want a large house, cars kids education etc etc.
he could help take them to the next level and learn Arabic.
Great result.

Wilf hasn't won anything in ten years with Palace. Ideally I think he'd choose a top 6 PL club. - if one would want him? Out of contract, they'd just have to pay wages.

I would like Palace to be planning and acting for, life after Wilfried Zaha while he is a very good player he is very one dimensional only wanting to play wide on left in a very small pocket. Wilf demands the ball and as a result it makes Palace predicable . Wilfried is not a team player he berates his team mates constantly expecting the perfect ball played to him, plus loses possession too often. He knows he is the best that Palace have had for the past ten years and will always be a legend. Let him leave on good terms at his peak and find some other team to reward him well in his final few years. We will see him eclipsed by Eze, Olise and others going forward.

The moments gone.. we should have sold him the summer AWB left, those two combined, 100 million - could have reinvested that summer and be a different squad now, with a plan b...

Not sure he will now.
But even if he did, so what? Name a sub when Chelsea last won the Champions league? Or maybe a squad player who was injured for the final. Either way, very soon forgotten.
Looking like it’s a bit late at Palace now to win a cup.
At least my route secures him a fabulous rest of life.
He is not tv pundit material so my way makes him fabulously wealthy for the rest of his life. He will guaranteed win silverware and help a very wealthy very important growing part of the world develop. All that might just float his boat as he gets old in his thirties!!

Pretty sure this is Wilf's last season for us. Wish him the very best wherever he ends up, been a tremendous servant (and savior) for Palace over the years.
When or if, Vieira finds out that Palace will be better without Mateta, Ayew and Schlupp in the lineup, we'll be doin' all right even without Zaha.

Since MBS has been in charge the lifestyle in Saudi is a lot more relaxed than in earlier years -

That's a bit of a leap of faith given this club's history of wasting any money it gets its hands on. For example, £27m of the £50m fee received for AWB was wasted on our two hopeless strikers.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I don't think anyone was willing to pay the money we asked for him and tbh 'Life After Zaha' has been with us since the WC restart because he's hardly been in scintillating form. It must be distracting for the guy when he's looking for his last big pay cheque but hopefully, he'll make up his mind and see us safely through the rest of the season without further distraction?
