I honestly have no idea what the following article is trying to achieve - [Link]

'Activists' claiming that race was and therefore should be focal to a COVID enquiry. I've read the article, more than once, and cannot for the life of me understand what the argument is here?

A lot of inflammatory and accusatory language within however nothing to tangibly grip and say 'Oh OK I see where the problem is being claimed to lie' or 'well there you go, it's clear to see now' etc.

A part of me wants to laugh at myself for thinking 'effing left wing media winding everybody up with nonsense' and so forth, but I actually think there's validity in that sentiment. It is almost like just painting everything, even a pandemic and its fallout, as racist is some sort of given these days. You'd be forgiven for thinking it's deliberately designed to wind up let's say 'White' people and equally incentivise 'non-white' people to believe it's the most important or only issue in everything, ever. It's a pandemic that took countless and affected all lives, some severely and still does so today. Some quotes below:

Lobby Akinnola, whose father, Femi, died with Covid in April 2020 at the age of 60, said "there's no way [race] couldn't have" played a role in his dad's death.

"Racism is pervasive in every aspect of life. My dad really highlights why it's so important to look at this as a systemic and structural problem, because he did everything right."

"As a black man from a black family, it feels like race and the impact that race had in the pandemic has also... just been sidelined, too. It feels like it's more of an afterthought than being a priority for the inquiry."

I sincerely hope this isn't hijacked by any far end of the spectrum thinking in what I'm trying to communicate here BTW, it's more an observation or thought from me attempting to glean insight.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Me neither.

Race obviously played a part in covid as it was known that black people were more likely to suffer harmful effects but that is completely different to racism playing a part.

The bloke said that his father was a healthy 60 year old who died "with" covid and not "of" covid but it wasn't mentioned whether or not he had been vaccinated

Exactly ME.

A bit like the 'more likely to be front line workers' quote. Is that racism or just an observation? If it is a racist issue then why?

It doesn't actually articulate 'what' racism and 'how' this might have contributed to anything etc. it just seems to float it as something we should all accept as valid commentary and fact?

Rhubarb.

It's about the BBC wanting to make race and identity politics the be all and end all

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I'm sure a few thousand pounds will bring his dad back to life.

Surprised the organisation hasn’t changed its name! Isn’t there a God in all religions?

Do the Scouts still sing about Ging Gang Goolies? Seems a bit exclusionary toward non-scrotal woggle wearers.

in Ireland, there is a public outcry against the Plantation of refugees.

The ruling elites are calling these irish protesters 'racists'.

I never knew that refugees were a race ? its a bit like calling Christians, footballers, or left-handed people a race.

A bizarre twist of logic by the Left.

Our government promising us the women & children of the War-zone that is Ukraine..........and then bussing in a ton of young men from an assortment of peaceful countries.

The Left is always about high taxation and high levels of spending. You now cannot get a cheap hotel room here, for the dearth of available rooms.
