Do go on The reason given in the supermarkets in the EU is that the Turkey/Syria earthquake has diminished supply. Plus something about Spain - drought in Southern Europe/Mediterranean. Couldn't get peppers or tomatoes (there was one sad pack of peppers and expensive tomatoes) yesterday. Also barely any chicken - much more expensive, and not many eggs. Bird flu and salmonella - almost a perfect storm with the Ukraine grain too.

Saw a young woman pushing a pram (with kid) in Home Bargains this morning, walking down the aisles with another woman, called 'nan'. They were just filling up a shopping basket with sugar-loaded goodies from the confectionary shelves. And yes, they were all fat feckers, including the toddler.
