He needs to go, we have been sleep walking towards the bottom of the table for weeks. Fortunately, results elsewhere have meant by a miracle we have kept our position, but won't for much longer.

The team needs the bounce of a new manager, new ideas, positivity etc.

With the games we have coming up, they basically get a free pass because we aren't expecting points from Man City, Brighton or Arsenal. So anything we do get is a real bonus.

Otherwise these 3 games just gives Vieira more excuses.

We need aan manager in there until the end of the season. Not sure who, but there must be someone out there.

Viera is on a 5 year contact to get rid would cost fortunes , he won’t be sacked anytime soon , and btw I don’t think there is anyone out there

He's clearly lost the plot. I can't even tell what he's trying to accomplish anymore. We go down a goal, and he takes Olise off, leaving Ayew on. Then later, Hughes comes on, when we're desperately chasing a goal.

We had 5 touches in the Villa box, 0 shots on goal. What was our xG, 0.1? And this was supposed to be a "winnable" game for us???

The entire squad has gotten worse under him. Our "press" is a half-hearted jog. We are second to every 50/50 ball. We can't pass. Our corners are horrendous. Our free kicks are horrendous. We last in the league in distance covered. We show no fight, at all.

By time April arrives, we'll be in the relegation mire, and playing other relegation sides who have much more fight in them than we do. If we start April with losses to Leicester and Leeds (which is likely), then I think the board has to sack PV at that point. I personally hope it's sooner, so we can get more time under PV's replacement.

He was our fourth choice manager so Im sure what people expected.

We’ll get what we deserve with a sh*t manager, sh*t squad and sh*t investment.

I was really surprised when you said that, so I checked.

Looks like a 3 year deal to me, which finishes next summer, so would not be too much to get rid of him. Probably come to a pay off deal.

Willo? Would you want any of them ? I’d prefer my pug to take charge

On the very rare occasion where we can create something we fail miserably, the closest we came today was with the Eze pass to Zaha who did a brilliant job of making sure he'd be onside only for Eze to take an extra step before making it ..and that sums up our performances and attitude.

I would be disappointed if we appointed any of the aforementioned managers.

At present there is still a 6 pt 'Cushion' between ourselves and the relegation zone, accordingly I am not expecting a parting of the ways in the immediate future.

If we were in the bottom 3, his chances of retaining his job would be somewhat slim.

Isn't that closing the stable door once the horse has bolted.

Clinton Morrison has now said he’s worried and Jeff stealing seems adamant we in trouble , what do we do ? Sack viera and put freedman in charge like Lanzo said ? Part of me is thinking yes for some reason , Owen garvan did say freedman would be in charge again at some point …

Worrying to read however that for me is the crux.

It’s not just a bad run, it’s not just bad luck, it’s not x, y or z either. We look a weak team on the pitch incapable of creating chances let alone scoring. He seems to switch the team up quite a bit, makes bizarre tactical decisions and where the leadership of confidence is coming from I have no idea.

For all my wanting PV to do well there really is nothing there in terms of a business case for me to hang my hat on. At least we tried and I think we did. If he stays it can only be due to sentiment and why that will be I’m lost. There may not be any obvious, immediate alternatives but I’ve never seen an ‘if it is broke, don’t fix it’ approach workout anywhere.

I certainly don’t hate PV, I don’t even feel angry towards him. I just think it’s bonkers for him to continue.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
