Worrying to read however that for me is the crux.

It’s not just a bad run, it’s not just bad luck, it’s not x, y or z either. We look a weak team on the pitch incapable of creating chances let alone scoring. He seems to switch the team up quite a bit, makes bizarre tactical decisions and where the leadership of confidence is coming from I have no idea.

For all my wanting PV to do well there really is nothing there in terms of a business case for me to hang my hat on. At least we tried and I think we did. If he stays it can only be due to sentiment and why that will be I’m lost. There may not be any obvious, immediate alternatives but I’ve never seen an ‘if it is broke, don’t fix it’ approach workout anywhere.

I certainly don’t hate PV, I don’t even feel angry towards him. I just think it’s bonkers for him to continue.

And after today and his treatment of edouard publicly and still not give him minutes I am with you for the first time , he needs to go because this team has no fight

He’s got to go. I want someone in place who has a chance of hitting the ground running ready for April - motivating the team, not using excuses and not publically dissing the players and his own staff. Appalling.

My worry is that when this run of games against the better teams is over our confidence will be so shot from not winning games that we will not be able to take advantage of playing the so called lesser teams. Our driving energy appears to have disappeared and Viera appears unable to revitalise the players. Whilst results suggest he should be got rid of I am of the view we will stick with him and we will avoid relegation by the skin of our teeth. What happens next is anyones guess. If ,as is being suggested , there is discontent amongst the players there will be an exodus of the promising youngsters and then …….. COYP.

It really doesn’t. The team looks lost and I really don’t see where the resurrection is coming from.

I’ve missed this Edouard ordeal (busy day for me) if someone can clue me in??

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I just read PV's post-match comments, and you'll be relieved to know that he sounded very pleased with how we did today. We were just "unlucky", and "it’s important for us to keep working" (I must have missed the portion of the match that we were "working", and "That was our plan: to expose the back-four" (Good plan, if we played for another 90 minutes, we might have had 1 shot on goal), and finally "I think with 10 men we gave the right answer" (Evidently never threatening once for the rest of the match was "the right answer". Not sure what the question was...)

Great stuff, PV!

Some are referring to all the 'winnable' games after the next few very tough fixtures.
This is all well and good, but where are the goals coming from to win these games?
We're not great at keeping clean sheets and may well need a couple of goals to get the three points in a game.
We're creating very little and don't look like scoring even with our creative players on the field.

He publicly stated before game in press conference that he is dissapoimted in him and hope him being on bench has hurt him

I can't believe he waited for us to go one nil down and a player down until he brought on a recognised striker on, if eduard is not playing for him and he publicly slates him tells me he's losing the dressing room.

And who was this 'recognised striker' of which you spoke ?

Agree!

Players getting worse and not better under Viera. We’re organised, but no real game plan players look confused. What is our style now? Pass around at back but no cutting edge at all. No width and a lack of pace in the team. Viera hasn’t been backed well this season but how can we be so powder puff with so many flare players in the team. Passing and set pieces are a disgrace bordering criminal. A Dyche or Roy wouldn’t accept that that’s pure training ground.

Saying that tuff run of games and in our own hands with what’s to come to selhurst still. Villa a bogie ground too ( we’ll against villa anyway lol) got to play Edouard now, Wilf and Olise wide. Dogs of war in the middle of the park and play on break hope for the best for me. He won’t go this season unless last month panic last stand with dougie or Paddy etc. I agree jury finally out with me too. Players look so low in confidence Eze and Mitchell have fallen of a cliff this season going backwards that’s simply poor coaching for me or lack of motivation. The derry thing bit to obvious but smacks of Viera being a light touch and having favourites.

Right now to beat city! And fluke a win a Brighton up the palace!

We are not a team any more. We appear to be just individuals who are nor adhering to any plan.Other teams display a good array of passing, good movement, energy, finding spaces between the lines etc etc, our performances have been very disappointing and some might argue that the team is less than the sum of the parts.
We are in pitchy seas.

Agree,we are sinking fast and our survival looks slim, almost dead in the water!!
Yet our complacency is difficult to understand.

Panic ye not. When the players realise their cushy number is in peril and a drop in salary is on the cards they'll pull their thumbs out of their collective arses and get a move on. Just wait and see. That said, it did pass my cynical mind that PV could be playing for a big pay off. Nah, can't be.
