I walked by Highbury Fields and was delighted to see a memorial statue to the Islingtonians who gave their lives in the Boer War.

I can only guess the wokerati of N1 have never bothered to read the plaque on the memorial and petitioned to have it removed

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It must have been good to have seen your colleagues remembered.

Instead of supporting white South Africa? That's an unexpected position to take.

The Boers had slaves but that would perhaps be a little selective.

Steeleye by default always supports enemies of Britain, past and present, and he always does his best to undermine his own country in all matters. In this, he is a classic crypto-communist.

As usual a contender for most boring thread ever.

Rarely if at all do the minds of British people turn to images of camps set up and run by the British Army when the words concentration camp are uttered. School curriculums endlessly examine the horrors of the Nazi system but seldom, if at all, do they turn to the actions of the British in the Boer war.

Concentration camps were first set up as a deliberate policy and tactic of war by the British Army led by Lord Kitchener during the period 1900 to 1902.

More historical guilt. Weren't they first used by Spain in their war against Cuba?

This is commonly known and is taught in schools. None of this detracts from you invariably supporting enemies of Britain and constantly attacking and undermining Britain in practically all matters.

Of course because I'm 150 years old.
But yes; they were.
