Ireland needs something similar. EVERY party here sucks.

Those who hate FF/FG are now offered the dubious alternative of Sinn Fein.....Black Balaclavas mixed in with Rainbow Balaclavas.

and to the Boers....Graag Gedaan.....well done, happily done.

Edited by PalazioVecchio (19 Mar 2023 8.50pm)

Sin Fein would be even worse than what is already "running the country" we will have even worse open borders with them lot.

St patricks week last week and not 1 TD in the country says it all really.

I will vote independant in the next elections...

No but he will likely have some amongst his multitude of relatives and therefore be an expert.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Far right Finn's too. All these far right who don't want imported crime or EU diktats. Fascists basically - bunches of sticks with a ceremonial axe in the middle. Far right about as meaningful as the word fascist.

They might lose to the coke party girl anyway.

Lets be honest, virtually anybody with any kind of traditional view on anything falls into the 'Fascist' camp these days.

And it always makes me smile because if people understood the roots of traditional Italian Fascism then they might think twice about cheering on the Trade Unions in this country. Be careful what you wish for Lefties.

if a white fella says something homophobic....he is Far Right and a Fascist, throw him into jail for hate-speech and incitement to violence.

if another fella says something homophobic...and quotes any old Holy Book..........well then we must respect his culture.

And if you criticise Leo Varadkar , for his poxy political policies, then you must be homophobic yourself ? In the past, many politicians got fired for marital infidelity. Trump would be crucified. But we were told not to pry into the private life ( Nightclub dance-floor) of our PM.

And if you call Macron 'filth' you reap the whirlwind. But call him a Gerontophile.....tumbleweed.

A prime example of my theory that if you want to understand what is going on in meta politics then focus on what is NOT being reported on as much as what is.

The sort of political change we need in Britain.

Most are done with the useless two party system that has overseen this country's decline.

As the Netherlands uses PR this is indeed the kind of change we need. Having all opinions represented, including those you don't like, ensures everyone has a voice.

Whether we imitate exactly the same system is another question as it's often difficult to form a government, but the basic principle is sound.

Ireland has PR and you can freely choose between Left of centre Globalists or the far Left. Actually, sounds a bit similar in the UK.

In Ireland, if you express an opinion like Margaret Thatcher....say, ''the working man should have a better life than the longterm unemployed man'' and they will brand you 'Far Right' and almost throw you into jail.

'Farmers of the world.. unite and take over'.

It goes to show what inroads can be made with the people finally get fed up with the same old non choices.

These are provincial elections the pro-farmers party is mainly concerned with the tough nitrogen emissions about to be imposed on them.

It is not a national election and they will only have 15 out of 75 seats.

Nevertheless a blow to Mark Rutte, but has scant coverage I don't know why the HOL is fussed.

If farmers had there way here we would certainly not have had a hard brexit.

Labour well ahead in the polls in rural constituencies.

The Dutch are the second largest exporter of agricultural products in the world, after the USA.

Their government wants to close 30% of their cattle farms in order to reduce nitrogen emissions because the gas apparently makes some plants die and some plants thrive in areas where unelected EU Commissioners have decided they should not.

Dutch famers will be forced to sell their land to the state now or face forced expropriation later. Is it little wonder that the BBB and anti-EU groups are getting so much support.

This Net Zero BS is literal evil. Why on earth woud you want to stop people growing food? Surely the goal for the EU, should be that it can produce its own food?

Because if the Dutch don't grow it, somebody else has to. Meaning the same thing still happens. And the food no doubt has to travel further meaning more global warming. Makes no sense whatsoever.
